Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the total number of player characters including the two secret ones?

Answer: Fourteen

I only counted the main twelve characters and the main secret characters. I did not include Banon, Wedge, Biggs/Vicks, the Moogles, or Kutan (who can be used instead of Celes by getting Locke to walk out of South Figaro without saving Celes).
I also did not include Maduin the esper. He is not truly playable as you can't see his stats or get in any battles with him, but you do walk around as him for one scene.
2. What is the name of the esper found in Narshe who is frozen?

Answer: Tritoch

Tritoch teaches Fire 3, Bolt 3, and Ice 3, making him a very useful esper to get party members up to speed late in the game.

You originally meet him in one of the first scenes in the game, and Terra has a strange reaction with him after the battle at Narshe, morphing and flying off to Zozo. You will not get him as an esper until the World of Ruin.
3. What is one of the first espers you receive?

Answer: Ramuh

Ramuh is the one who introduces himself to you when you get to the top of Zozo's biggest building. He grants you his power along with Siren, Kirin, and Stray.
4. Which of the following characters is closest to a main character?

Answer: Terra

Terra is regarded as the main character. She is considered a "Red Mage" because she can cast both healing and offensive magic naturally, and can equip most swords and the majority of armor available in the game. She is one of the few characters who can use the Atma Weapon.
5. Who is the comical villain and the boss of the game?

Answer: Kefka

Kefka is not respected by the soldiers of the Empire, but they follow his orders anyway. The soldiers tend to prefer Leo. He is the one who poisons Doma and is personally responsible for the death of General Leo Cristophe.
6. Which of the following is not an esper on the original SNES cartridge?

Answer: Leviathan

Leviathan was one of the new espers added in "Final Fantasy VI Advance". He teaches the spell Flood, which was also not in the "Final Fantasy VI" cartridge.
7. How many characters are you able to control in a fight normally?

Answer: Four

It was five in "Final Fantasy IV", four in "Final Fantasy VI", and has gone down since. It is usually three characters in a party in modern "Final Fantasy" games. However in "Final Fantasy XII", characters can be switched out in the middle of a battle.
8. What does WoB stand for?

Answer: World of Balance

"World of Balance" is the name for the world before Kefka moves the statues on the Floating Continent and destroying the world as we know it. WoR or the World of Ruin is the name for the world after it is destroyed/changed.
9. Which of the following characters comes in the party later than the others?

Answer: Mog

Mog is one of the latest characters you get in the group, behind Relm and Strago, or after them if you opt not to get him in the World of Balance. His Dance ability allows him to do a variety of attacks, and some of his dances have powerful healing abilities as well.
10. What comical villain do you fight several times before he finally goes away for good about halfway through the game?

Answer: Ultros

Ultros is weak to Bolt and Fire attacks. You will fight him four times in the game, all in the World of Balance. However, in the fourth fight, he will call Chupon to aid him in battle.
