Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Sabin's special martial arts techniques are known as Blitz techniques. Which Blitz is the fourth technique Sabin will learn?

Answer: Fire Dance

Fire Dance is number four, a mass fire elemental attack. Aurabolt is number two, a pearl elemental attack on one enemy. Mantra is fifth, a healing technique that heals all party members but Sabin. Air Blade is sixth, a mass air-elemental attack.
2. In "Final Fantasy 5", there was a Job called the Trainer, who could control monsters. Who is capable of this in "Final Fantasy 6"?

Answer: Relm

By equipping Relm with the Fake Moustache relic found insode the Zone Eater, Sketch becomes Control. She will take control of one monster, and then command the monster with its own moves until the monster is hit. This is a great way to get Lore spells for Strago.
3. Which of the following statements is correct?

Answer: Mog may be able to use commands once he starts a Dance

Once you select a Rage, you're stuck with it until the battle ends, or Gau dies. There may be other situations (suggestions?), but you definitely can't control it (unless perhaps YOU kill him). Nor can you control Umaro. He has no commands to speak of. Gogo can't Morph, or do exactly what Umaro does, as examples. If Gogo cannot Mimic something, he will Fight instead. Now Mog, he will occasionally Stumble in the middle of a dance. If he does, you can command him again. If not, he'll continue to Dance up a storm.
4. Which of the following is false about the Runic ability?

Answer: Celes is the only one who can use it

You do need a Runic blade, it does absorb spells and convert them to MP (your spells and monster spells), and not all spells can be absorbed (like Quake, Merton, Ultima, and Meteor for example). However, you can give Gogo the Runic ability as well, so Celes isn't the only one.
5. Which of the following describes how to use SwdTech abilities?

Answer: Charge up a meter until the number of the move you want lights up

Charge up the meter and let it rip. You could be waiting a long time if you want Quadra Slice (7) or Cleave (8), but they are well worth the wait. Selecting moves is how Edgar uses Tools, and button sequences is how Sabin uses Blitz moves.
6. Which of the following relics will convert Steal into Capture?

Answer: Thief Glove

The Thief Glove is the relic in question. There is no Thief Ring, but the Sneak Ring increases Steal success. The Thief Knife (which is actually a weapon) randomly makes the user Capture instead of fight, but Locke's command is still Steal.
7. It is possible for Umaro to use a magical attack.

Answer: Yes

Equip the furry powerhouse with the Blizzard Orb and he will occasionally unload with the mass Ice attack Storm. Personally, I prefer giving him the Rage Ring and a Gauntlet. The Rage Ring unlocks his body press and ally throw attacks, while the Gauntlet doubles the attack strength of the Bone Club. You can't give him a shield anyways, so why not?
8. Which of the following pairs of techniques and descriptions is incorrect?

Answer: Slash - Slice an enemy in half

Slash is the third SwdTech move, but it cuts the HP of the enemy in half, not the enemy itself. Cleave, the eighth SwdTech move, cuts enemies in half, killing them instantly. Debilitator, a Tool, is available in the WOR. Spiraler is the seventh Blitz (or at least the last one learned by leveling up). GP Rain is what you get if you equip Setzer with the Coin Toss Relic.
9. Setzer has many techniques available to him through the Slot command, assuming you're lucky. Which Slot technique shares its name with an item?

Answer: Magicite

Both the technique and the item will summon a random Esper to your aid. Trigger this technique by scoring three BARs.

10. Some Relics can change your normal commands to new commands. Which of the following relic - new command pairings is incorrect?

Answer: None of these are incorrect

The Offering is found deep in the Ancient Castle, and enables four random hits in one turn (or eight if you have a Genji Glove). The Gem Box enables a character to cast two spells in one turn, and is received atop the Tower of the Magi. Dragoon Boots can be bought in many stores. The Jump attack works best if you are holding a lance (Mog or Edgar).
