Answer: Onix (Lv. 33)

Neither Voltorb or Magnemite could be the correct answers because their Defense is not their best stat.

While Geodude's best stat is indeed its Defense, Geoudude's stats aren't as lopsided as Onix's. Geodude's Attack would be much higher, but its Defense and Speed would be lower.

2. HP: 183 Attack: 30 Defense: 30 Special Attack: 45 Special Defense: 80 Speed: 53 Hint: "Under totally unfavourable conditions my Attack and Defense stats at this level could be as low as just 7! Who am I?"

Answer: Chansey (Lv. 25)

Chansey holds the lowest Attack and Defense stats and the second highest HP, behind its evolution Blissey, of all Pokemon. The three incorrect Pokemon would have much higher Attack and Defense stats and a much lower HP stat at the levels they are at, although Jigglypuff's HP is still very high.

Dragonite and Nidoking, meanwhile, both have a better Special Attack stat than Gyarados, and, in Nidoking's case, its Special Attack is almost as high as its Attack.

Answer: Scizor (Lv. 61)

Porygon2's speed is higher than Porygon's so it can't be the correct option. In addition, the Special Attack is Porygon2's highest stat.

Poliwrath's stats are much more balanced and its Attack stat is lower than Scizor's. As for Steelix, its Defense stat would heavily stand out as the highest, while its Attack stat would be lower.

Answer: Shuckle (Lv. 14)

Only Shuckle could have so high Defense and Special Defense stats at that level! Unfortunately, its other four stats are the worst or among the worst of all Pokemon and of course beaten by Grimer, Forretress, and Corsola.

Answer: Venomoth (Lv. 35)

Girafarig is part Psychic-type so we can discard it first. Porygon is a slow Pokemon, as its speed wouldn't be as high as 100 at the given level. Moreover, the rest of its stats would be higher than the displayed ones.

Psyduck's stats are very similar to Venomoth at the given level so it can be tricky to distinguish between them. The HP, Attack, and Defense of Psyduck would be slightly higher, while its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed would be slightly lower. In general, Psyduck has more balanced stats.

Answer: Diglett (Lv. 11)

Neither of the three incorrect Pokemon would be able to reach more than 300 HP at the given levels, and, as far as Ditto is concerned, all its six stats share the same base value (48), meaning only its HP would be different than the rest.

This is a tricky guess because all four Pokemon have very similar stats and we can't discard any option with the hint, as all four Pokemon can learn at least five Psychic-type attacks. The most notable differences are:

Abra's stats are even more lopsided (less Attack and defense; a bit more of Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed). Jynx's and Espeon's Special Defense stats are reasonably higher, while their Special Attack stats are slightly lower. Jynx's Defense is also a bit lower.

10. HP: 403 Attack: 298 Defense: 298 Special Attack: 298 Special Defense: 298 Speed: 298 Hint: "I can learn a move that restores 50% of my maximum HP in one turn. Who am I?"

Answer: Celebi (Lv. 100)

Once again, the hint doesn't tell us anything since Celebi, Lugia, and Ho-oh can learn Recover while Mew can learn the TM that contains Softboiled.

Having the exact same base stats across the board is characteristic of Mew and Celebi. Their base stats are 100 which means that a maximum stat of 298 (403 for HP) can only be reached at level 100. As a result, the correct answer is Celebi, because Mew was at level 95.
