Kairi is friends with Riku, but she isn't his best friend. That spot is reserved for Sora. Riku and Sora have been friends since they were little. Though they are always competing with each other, they will always be on good terms as best friends.

Answer: Ansem, Seeker of Darkness

In "Kingdom Hearts", he is referred to as Ansem. In reality, he is the heartless of Xehanort. Riku gave into him when Ansem, Seeker of Darkness told Riku that giving into darkness would make his heart stronger. Riku takes the appearance of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness again in "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days" to stop Roxas from going after Xemnas.

Answer: One is a Replica of the original Riku

The Replica of Riku was created by Vexen as part of his Replica projects. Vexen gathered data about Riku for the Replica by fighting him. The Replica fights Riku, after mocking the fact that Riku fears darkness. Axel tricks the Replica into destroying Zexion, saying that doing so will help him get the power to be a completely new person.

Answer: To pick on his relationship with Kairi

Paopu fruits are said to have a magical power about them. If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined forever. Both Sora and Riku have feelings for Kairi. Riku says that if Sora doesn't admit to his feelings and share a fruit with Kairi, then Riku will...and soon.

Answer: Pinocchio

All of these characters are from the movie "Pinocchio". Cleo is a fish in a bowl, Figaro is a cat, and Jiminy Cricket is traveling with Sora and company. Riku kidnaps Pinocchio to try and use him to save Kairi's heart. Riku helps Sora try to free Pinocchio from the Parasite Cage Heartless that appears.

After Riku is unable to convince Sora to help him, and the Parasite Cage returns, Riku vanishes from the world.

Answer: Way to the Dawn

These are all Keyblades that Riku can use in "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days" mission mode. However, Way to the Dawn" is his only weapon in "Kingdom Hearts II". Before this weapon evolved, Riku used the Soul Eater. Riku still refers to his Keyblade as "Soul Eater", though it has changed from to Way to the Dawn. The "weapons" menu says that Riku's Keyblade is Way to the Dawn as well.

Answer: The World That Never Was

Riku joins Sora in The World That Never Was in "Kingdom Hearts II" after regaining his original appearance of Riku. When he first appeared in the world, Riku was in the form of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. Kairi had them hold hands and made Sora close his eyes. When he did, Sora saw Riku instead.

The "Kingdom Hearts" manual that comes with the game says that Riku is fifteen years old. In "Kingdom Hearts II", he is sixteen. In "Kingdom Hearts Birth By sleep", he is five years old.

Answer: Destiny Islands

Riku comes from the Destiny Islands, where he grew up with Sora. Other kids on the island are Tidus, Waka, and Selphie. However, Riku's main trio of friends includes himself, Sora, and Kairi. Riku yearned to leave the islands and find other worlds. He got his wish when the darkness invaded his home.

Answer: The Secret Place

There is a save point inside the Seaside Shack, and Riku's room is never shown. Sora's is shown briefly in "Kingdom Hearts". The Secret Place is a little cave under a waterfall. There is a large door there that Riku and Sora can't open. Drawings adorn the cave walls, a couple being put there by Sora.

The troubles begin in The Secret Place, as the world's Keyhole is there. Riku was the one who ended up opening the door and letting the Heartless into the world.

Answer: Sora found replacements for Riku and their other friend

Maleficent tells Riku that Sora has replaced him and Kairi with Donald and Goofy. She and Riku spy on them from a distance when they are in a house with Yuffie and other "Final Fantasy" series characters. She is trying to turn Riku against Sora, but Riku is suspicious of her.

Answer: AntiSora

Nobodies do not appear in "Kingdom Hearts". AntiSora is a perfect replica of Sora. It wears clothes like Sora's, but colored grey and black. AntiSora even has a darkened Keyblade! It's yellow eyes make it resemble a large shadow Heartless. It is a Pureblood heartless, as it doesn't have an emblem on it. Riku summons this creature in the Captain's Cabin.

Answer: He's trapped in the Door to Darkness

Riku appears inside the Door to Darkness after Ansem is defeated for good. Sora and King Mickey have to shut it to prevent Heartless from escaping, which leaves Riku and King Mickey trapped inside. Before the doors close, Riku tells Sora to keep Kairi safe. Riku awakes in Castle Oblivion during "Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories".

Answer: "This looks like a boring place to take a nap anyway."

A dark card appears as a disembodied voice gives Riku his options. He says that Riku's options are to nap and forget both his troubles and the light, or take the card and move on to the truth. Cards are how Riku is able to open doors in Castle Oblivion, and his means of fighting.

After leaving what appears to be Hollow Bastion, the voice reappears and reveals itself to belong to Ansem, Seeker of Darkness.

Answer: Detecting the smell of Darkness

Creating illusions is a power that Zexion, and Organization XIII member, has. reading other people's minds through touch is not a power in the "Kingdom Hearts" universe, and flight is an ability from Neverland. When Riku learns of this power, he is discouraged by it. King Mickey gives him the courage to go on by comforting him.

The power to detect the smell of darkness is also used by Zexion.
