Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following characters have been in all "Mortal Kombat" games as playable warriors?

Answer: Sub-Zero

Sub-Zero is the only one to appear in all games even though he has been two or three different people under the same name, but Sub-Zero has still been in all games none the less. Raiden did not appear in "Mortal Kombat 3" or "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" as a playable warrior, but instead as a story figure. Scorpion did not appear in "Mortal Kombat 3" at all and Sonya did not appear in "Mortal Kombat 2" as a playable warrior but as a background sprite.
2. Liu Kang is based on which martial arts superstar?

Answer: Bruce Lee

The first "Mortal Kombat" was based on Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon", so who better than a warrior based on Bruce Lee to be a hero. It is known that Bruce Lee is one of the "Mortal Kombat" crew's favourite martial arts stars.
3. Which Sub-Boss has appeared in the most games?

Answer: Goro

Goro has appeared in the original "Mortal Kombat", "Mortal Kombat Trilogy", "Mortal Kombat 4" and the Gamecube Version of "Deception". Kintaro has appeared in "Mortal Kombat 2" and "Mortal Kombat Trilogy". Motaro has appeared in "Mortal Kombat 3", "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" and "Mortal Kombat Trilogy". Finally Moloch has only appeared in "Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance".
4. Besides Earth and Outworld there is one other place featured in the games. What is it called?

Answer: Netherealm

Netherealm is the area where Moloch and Drahmin used to live and where Scorpion and Quan Chi were trapped. "Oddworld" is where the Abe Trilogy happens. Edenia was a world of its own but Shao Kahn merged it with Outworld.
5. Who of the following has never been a champion in the "Mortal Kombat" games?

Answer: Johnny Cage

In the first "Mortal Kombat" storyline it declares that in the first ever "Mortal Kombat" tournament Shang Tsung won and was eventually beaten by Kung Lao who was defeated by Goro. Then it was said in "Mortal Kombat 2" Liu Kang was the champion of the previous tournamnt meaning he won the first "Mortal Kombat" game the same was said for each game until "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance" when he was killed and the Deadly Alliance became champions, therefore Johnny Cage has never been champion.
6. Why was Johnny Cage brought back from the dead?

Answer: The fans wanted him back really badly

It was due to popular demand he was brought back after his game model was caught doing unauthorized advertising as Johnny Cage. So when "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" was made they hired new actor Christopher Alexander to play Johnny Cage. To get round the fact of Cage not being in "Mortal Kombat 3" they said he was killed by Shao Kahn's extermination squads and for "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" he came back in spirit and was brought back properly in "Mortal Kombat 4" when the game went 3-D.
7. What world is Kano from?

Answer: Earth

Kano is from Earth and was once a major black market arms dealer. After "Mortal Kombat 3" he was trapped in Outworld and served as a mercenary until he became leader of Shao Kahn's army.
8. Who were the two warriors Quan Chi and Shang Tsung had to defeat to make it possible for them to rule the universe?

Answer: Liu Kang and Shao Kahn

Yes the current champion of "Mortal Kombat" and the Emperor of Outworld needed to be killed to ensure their plan was going to work. Kano was the leader of Kahn's army but was too dispensable to matter, Raiden was at the time though of not being able to interfere as he was an elder god and Goro was already killed in battle.
9. Moloch and Drahmin are both from what race?

Answer: Oni

Their race is Oni of the Netherealm. Muddokan is from the "Oddworld" series, they are demon-like, not demons, and they are a race of living creatures. Even though they are not demons, Oni means demon.
10. Are you able to play as Shao Kahn in any game?

Answer: Yes

You can play as Shao Kahn in "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" and the Gamecube version of "Deception". Shao Kahn was unheard of in the first "Mortal Kombat" game.
