Answer: Norman Jayden

FBI agent Norman Jayden is a profiler, who uses special technology to survey the environment, and collect and analyse data and evidence. At first, Norman appears to be a normal, healthy individual. However, at several points during gameplay, his addiction to the narcotic triptocaine is evident.

This addiction stems from over-exposure to his augmented reality technology, and during one part of the game, Norman must fight the urge to consume the triptocaine.

Answer: Lauren Winter

Scott Shelby, a private investigator looking into the disappearances of many young boys, visits Lauren Winter early in the game to question her about her missing son, Johnny. Lauren catches up with Scott the next day and gives him some more information, if he lets her accompany him in his investigation. Despite playing a large role in the game, Lauren is not a playable character.

Answer: The Taxidermist

"The Taxidermist" focuses around Madison Paige, and the events in her life prior to meeting Ethan Mars. As a journalist, she is sent by her boss to question Leland White, an Origami Killer suspect. However, White is not at home when Madison arrives, so she breaks in and photographs some rather gruesome figures. During her investigation, White returns home, so Madison must try to escape the house alive.

There are a number of different endings depending on Madison's actions.

Answer: Orchid

The Origami Killer's modus operandi features several elements. The Killer kidnaps young boys and traps them in wells which fill with water during periods of continuous rainfall (hence the title of the game). Should the fathers of the boys be unable to rescue them, the Killer will cover their face with mud and place an origami figure in their hand, along with an orchid on their chest.

Answer: The Blue Lagoon

Madison heads to the Blue Lagoon to question Paco Mendes about an apartment he owns - the same one in which Ethan cut off his finger. When her plan goes awry, she is forced to knock Paco out with a lamp and tie him to chair to question him. Should Norman survive the fight against Mad Jack, he will arrive at the Blue Lagoon looking for Paco too. Madison, provided she is still alive, will walk past Norman as he enters the club. Norman uses his ARI technology to gather clues, but is ambushed by the Origami Killer.

This is another situation where Norman can die.

Answer: Falcon

Inside the box found at the train station's locker room are five origami figures, each numbered 1 to 5, indicating the order in which to complete the trials. The first is the Bear, which tells Ethan to find a car and drive down the motorway against the oncoming traffic. Next is the Butterfly, in which Ethan must visit a power plant and crawl through small tunnels littered in broken glass, and then clamber through a maze of electricity wires to reach his reward.

The third trial is the Lizard, where Ethan must cut off a section of one of his fingers in front of a camera.

After this is the Shark, where Ethan must kill a man called Brad Silver. The final trial is the Rat, and Ethan must drink a vial of poison, which will kill him in one hour, giving him time to rescue his son and say his goodbyes.

Answer: Red

Jason receives the balloon and wanders off. Ethan does not notice for a few minutes, at which point he starts to yell "Jason!" and search for the red balloon floating above the sea of shoppers. Eventually, Ethan finds Jason outside the mall on the other side of the road, and Jason immediately runs back across to meet his father, unaware of an oncoming car. Ethan jumps out into the road to protect his son, but unfortunately, Jason dies and Ethan falls into a coma.

Answer: Asthma

Early in the game, when Scott visits Lauren, he has a slight asthma attack, but is able to reach his puffer and cure himself. This occurs at several points throughout the game, and each involve reaching into a pocket, shaking the puffer and administering a few bursts.

The onset of his asthmatic attacks are caused by the rain, as evident when Scott says he can't breathe when it rains. Depending on your actions, Scott can also become an alcoholic.

Answer: Queen of Ropes

Yet another scenario in which Madison can die, the chapter called The Doc sees Madison visiting the home of Adrian Baker, another Origami Killer suspect. Again, depending on your actions, Madison can walk out unharmed, or can be killed. Should she accept the Doc's drink, or be knocked out whilst snooping around, she will wake up tied to a table in the basement, where the Doc approaches with a drill.

However, a knock at the door interrupts him, and he goes upstairs to answer it. At this point, Madison can struggle to try and free herself from the ropes. Should she succeed before the Doc returns, the Queen of Ropes trophy will become unlocked.

Answer: Grace

At the beginning of the game, Ethan and Grace have a wonderful marriage. However, once Jason dies, it is discovered that Ethan and Grace divorced and gain joint custody of Shaun. Ethan begins to suffer from blackouts, which leave him in the middle of a back street when he regains consciousness. Shaun's kidnapping occurs during one of these blackouts, and this is when Ethan begins to lose his mind. Should Ethan survive to the end of the game, he and Grace will not get back together, but he could become involved with Madison, providing certain actions are taken beforehand.
