Question 1 of 10
1. The metallic doors slide open, and the majesty of the Galactic Museum fills my head with wonder. Rows upon rows of glass cases house stunningly real replicas of aliens. I step out of the lift, and am offered a glass of a strange-coloured, fizzy liquid from a waiter. I politely decline, and begin my tour of the museum.
I move over to a glass case, and look at the sign in front of it. The words are in a different language. In fact, all the signs are. I suppose I'll have to remember what the alien is called.
The first thing I notice about this alien is its height. It's quite tall, 7 feet maybe. The claws are quite long. It seems to be wearing some sort of device around its neck. I look down and see, well, a human being. Well, the skin at least. Ah! Now I remember what this alien is called.
Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Moving along down the aisle, the next case that grabs my eye has a gas lamp inside, and a blue spectral wraith coming out of the lamp. I scratch my head, and suddenly I remember this alien. Yes! This species lost their bodies in the Time War, and turned to gas. They sought refuge in a gaseous environment, namely a Cardiff mortuary. But what is their name?

Answer: (One Word)
Question 3 of 10
3. Several of the museum's guests congregate around a particular case down the row, so I go over to see what they're looking at. Standing on the tips of my toes, I see the alien inside the case. At first glance, I thought it was a baked potato. But I was mistaken. I soon recognised it. It's quite short, and dressed in what looks like a combat suit. Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. The fourth case I look at contains a stone statue, covering its face with its hands. I instantly know what this creature is. Even though it is a replica, and not actually real, it still unnerves me, so I take extra care to keep my eyes on it and resist blinking as I move away. What is this frightening creature?

Answer: (Two Words)
Question 5 of 10
5. The last case in this row contains an odd looking creature. Red tentacles come out from where a mouth would be on a human, and a strange orb on a wire protruding out from the mass of tentacles. Scouring my mind, I remember this creature. Commonly used as a servant, what is the name of this species of alien?

Answer: (One Word)
Question 6 of 10
6. The waiter from earlier comes back around and offers me a new glass of liquid. Not wanting to be rude again, I thank the waiter and take the drink. I carefully take a sip as I walk around to the next row of cases. Ah! Lemonade! Now that's more like it.
I take a look at the next case. It's a rhino in a battle suit. No, I shouldn't be crude. It has a name, and I intend to use it. What is this creature called?
Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. A very strange looking creature inhabits the next case, as I move down the row. I know I've seen this creature before, but I can't remember its name. It looks like a purple and orange fish, but it has what looks like a vial of green liquid attached to their mouth, possibly to allow it to breath. Oh yes, now I remember what this alien is called!

Answer: (One Word)
Question 8 of 10
8. Continuing along, I see a group of young girls huddled around a case. I go over to take a look.
"Aww, isn't it cute?" says one girl.
"Oh yes, indeed!" I reply, looking inside the case.
A small whitish blob with little arms and legs sits inside on a stand. It waves at me and smiles. Admiring the technology that the museum has used, I remember the name of this creature. What is it called?
Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Walking away from the squeals of delight, I head towards the next case. I look inside and jump back. Boy, I wasn't expecting that. A very ugly witch-type creature is inside, glaring sinisterly at me. Pointed teeth protrude from the mouth, creating an evil smile. Remembering the name of the creature, I am tempted to shout it out, and banish the witch. But, not wanting to draw attention to myself, I quietly whisper it under my breath. What is this alien called? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. I begin to move on to the last case, but a booming voice echoes around the museum. I turn to see where it is coming from, and I gasp in amazement. It's the man himself. Here, in the museum. The Doctor. He is standing beside a large glass case with a dark silk cover over it, hiding the contents. Silence falls among the museum-goers.
"Thank you all for coming to this exhibition. I hope you've learned a thing or two about the aliens I've encountered recently. I would now like to unveil this final case, containing my greatest enemy."
A drum roll starts up, and the Doctor grasps the cover and pulls it off. The audience applauds as we all view the creature in the case. It looks like a sort of metal pepperpot, so it's obvious what this alien is.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The metallic doors slide open, and the majesty of the Galactic Museum fills my head with wonder. Rows upon rows of glass cases house stunningly real replicas of aliens. I look down and see, well, a human being. Well, the skin at least. Ah! Now I remember what this alien is called.

Answer: Slitheen

A friendly museum-goer offers me his help to read the signs in front of the cases. The first one reads:
Slitheen
Home planet: Raxicoricofallapatorius.
The Slitheen are a particularly dangerous family of Raxicoricofallapatorians, composed of calcium. In the Earth year 2005, they tried to blow up Planet Earth for their own financial good. Slitheen hide their forms inside 'skin suits', removing all the insides of their victim and using the skin suit as a disguise. The device around the neck is a compression collar, which helps to fit the large Slitheen into the small suit.

Answer: Gelth

The sign on the case reads:
Gelth
Home planet: Unknown
The Gelth are now gaseous creatures that are drawn to gaseous environments to survive, after they lost their physical forms in the Time War. In the Earth year 1869, they tried to take over Earth under the auspices of pity.

Answer: Sontaran

The sign on the case reads:
Sontaran
Home planet: Sontar
The Sontarans are a clone race, whose main purpose is battle. The Sontarans have been fighting the Rutans for around 50,000 years. The Sontaran's main weakness is the Probic Vent on the back of their necks, which means they have to face their enemies in combat. A blow to the Probic Vent will render a Sontaran unconscious. In the Earth Year 2008, the Sontarans corrupted the Earth's atmosphere and tried to convert it into a breeding ground for new Sontarans.
4. The fourth case I look at contains a stone statue, covering its face with its hands. I instantly know what this creature is. Even though it is a replica, and not actually real, it still unnerves me, so I take extra care to keep my eyes on it and resist blinking as I move away. What is this frightening creature?

Answer: weeping angel

The sign on the case reads:
Weeping Angel
Home planet: Unknown
The Weeping Angels, also known as the Lonely Assassins, are a race of winged humanoids that kill simply by touching. A touch by a Weeping Angel sends the victim back in time, and the Angel feeds off the potential energy from the time the victim could have had alive. The Weeping Angel's greatest asset is also their greatest curse. This is the quantum lock. By simply looking at a Weeping Angel, it turns to stone and cannot move. However, once nothing is looking at it, it changes into its true form and can travel long distances in very short times. The reason an Angel covers its face is that if one sees another while they are in their natural, non-stone form, both will turn to stone and never be able to change back again, effectively killing them. In the Earth year 2007, the Weeping Angels trapped a Time Lord and his companion in 1969, and captured the Time Lord's space ship, intending to harness the power of it to shut off the sun.
5. The last case in this row contains an odd looking creature. Red tentacles come out from where a mouth would be on a human, and a strange orb on a wire protruding out from the mass of tentacles. Scouring my mind, I remember this creature. Commonly used as a servant, what is the name of this species of alien?

Answer: ood

The sign on the case reads:
Ood
Home planet: OodSphere, Horsehead Nebula
The Ood are a telepathic race, that have been used as servants for a variety of races. A newborn Ood has a high telepathic ability and is born with its brain on the outside of its body, connected to a tube that goes back into its body, through the mouth. Because of this, an Ood must hold its brain in its hands, and protect it. When used as servants, the external brain is removed and replaced with a translation orb, which allows the Ood to communicate with its master. This also limits their telepathic ability. In the year 43K2.1, the Ood were possessed by a demonic force on the distant Krop Tor.

Answer: Judoon

The sign on the case reads:
Judoon
Home planet: Jadoon
The Judoon are a race of rhinoceros-like creatures, that serve as Galactic Police. In the Earth year 2007, the Judoon were on the hunt for a Plasmavore, who hid inside an Earth hospital. In order to reach this hospital, the Judoon used an H20 scoop to transport the hospital to The Moon. The Judoon are known to have a headquarters at the Shadow Proclamation.

Answer: hath

The sign on the case reads:
Hath
Home planet: Unknown (probably Messaline)
The Hath are a race of fish-like creatures that wear a special breathing apparatus on their face filled with a liquid to allow them to breathe. The Hath had control of several progenation machines on Messaline, as did their human allies on the same planet. However, in the year 6012 of the New Byzantine calendar, the Hath and humans were at war for control of the planet.

Answer: Adipose

The sign on the case reads:
Adipose
Home planet: Adipose 3
The Adipose are almost completely composed of fat. A small face, small webbed hands and two stumpy feet make up a young Adipose. In the Earth Year 2008, a number of humans were taking pills created by Adipose Industries, which claimed to make the human lose fat. It did just this, as every night, a blob of fat would remove itself from the human, in the form of an Adipose.

Answer: Carrionite

The sign on the case reads:
Carrionite
Home planet: Rexel 4, Rexel System
The Carrionites are witch-like creatures, capable of manipulating others through the use of witchcraft and dark magic. A Carrionite's power also comes from words, as is the case in the late Earth 16th century. A group of three Carrionites sought to destroy Earth and release the rest of their race through the performance of one of William Shakespeare's plays. Their efforts were thwarted though.
A drum roll starts up, and the Doctor grasps the cover and pulls it off. The audience applauds as we all view the creature in the case. It looks like a sort of metal pepperpot, so it's obvious what this alien is.

Answer: dalek

The sign on the case reads:
Dalek
Home planet: Skaro
The Daleks are the greatest enemies of the Doctor, and are feared throughout time and space. The mutated creature inside the Dalek is a Kaled. The Daleks have made several attempts to destroy the Doctor and Planet Earth, in the Earth years 2005, 200100, 2006, 1930, and 2009.
