Naked Snake was the codename of the young soldier, Jack, a former Green Beret and the first field operative for the newly established FOX unit. Jack is pretty much identical to Solid Snake in terms of appearance and has been trained by a legendary soldier, The Boss, who taught him survival skills and CQC.

Both The Boss and EVA defected from the United States, however towards the end, EVA disappears, and leaves behind a tape revealing herself to be a Chinese spy sent to steal the Philosophers Legacy for China, and that The Boss hadn't really defected, but she was under strict orders to pretend to defect so that she could infiltrate Volgin's ranks and find the location of the Legacy.

ADAM was Ocelot, who is the young version of the future "Revolver" Ocelot. At the end of the game, Ocelot is heard talking on the telephone and reveals that the Philosopher's Legacy given to EVA was a fake, and that half of the real legacy is in the hands of the US Government. He also reveals that he was working for the CIA.

The leader, The Boss was also known as "The Joy" and was romantically involved with "The Sorrow". Other members served as boss battles in the game. Defeating each boss via tranquilizing would result in obtaining certain camouflage suits, each with a different effect.

Volgin attempts to become leader of the Soviet Union, and plans to use the "Shagohod" to end the Cold War and bring victory to his country. The Shagohod was built by the scientist Sokolov, who is forced involuntarily to build the Shagohod.

Volgin is a very superstitious person, and constantly says, Kuwabara, Kuwabara at the sight of rain, a traditional Japanese saying to ward off lightning and ghosts. The one time he doesn't say it though strangely results in a painful death.

Raikov was implied to be Volgins secret lover. There are many likenesses to Raiden, such as his appearance, his name, his fighting style, a locker poster, and his feminine-like nature.

After defeating his mentor, Naked Snake is awarded the title Big Boss and the Distinguished Service Cross by President Johnson. In the upcoming events though, he first refuses to go by the codename Big Boss, as he feels he hasn't surpassed The Boss yet.

Answer: Johnny Sasaki

Johnny Sasaki is the incompetent enemy soldier. His grandfather is in "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater", but instead suffers from constipation rather than diarrhea. He first appears as an enemy guard in "Metal Gear Solid", whose uniform is stolen by Meryl Silverburgh.

Answer: The Patriot

"The Patriot" was the Boss' gun and has unlimited ammo, due to the shape of the barrel feed. The Stinger missile launcher isn't used in his game and neither is the Nikita Missile Launcher.
