Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is the female heroine of the "Metroid" series?

Answer: Samus

Samus has been on countless adventures. This one takes place just after the first "Metroid" game.
2. What is the max amount of missiles that you can hold?

Answer: 250

When you get the Missile Launcher you have five missiles. After finding 49 more 5-count missile expansions, you will have 250 missiles.
3. What boss do you discover as you are escaping the self-destructing ship in the beginning of the game?

Answer: Meta Ridley

Meta Ridley is the last boss you fight before fighting Metroid Prime. Kraid isn't in this game and there is no such thing as a Meta Metroid...yet. Meta Cooler is a "Dragonball Z" villain.
4. What region of Tallon IV does your ship land in after fleeing the crashing ship?

Answer: Tallon Overworld

This area plays the classic "Metroid" theme music for about the first half of the game. You will be going back and forth through this area many times during the game.
5. What is the first item you get back after landing on Tallon IV?

Answer: Missile Launcher

You get the Missile Launcher back after defeating the Hive Mecha. From there you go on to get the Morph Ball, Charge Beam, and then the Varia Suit.
6. How many Chozo Artifacts are in the game?

Answer: Twelve

You must find all of them to fight Meta Ridley. They are well hidden all over Tallon IV. Make sure that you get the clues from the Artifact Temple.
7. What item do you get for defeating the Omega Pirate?

Answer: Phazon Suit

This suit allows you to walk on Phazon puddles without being hurt. It also allows you to use the Phazon Beam against Metroid Prime.
8. What percent of the items do you have to finish the game with to see Samus without her helmet?

Answer: 70%

When the first "Metroid" game came out, most people didn't know that Samus was a woman. Her face is well done and looks great in 3-D. You can also unlock pictures of her face in the gallery.
9. How many Morph Ball Bombs can you use at one time?

Answer: Three

After you use three bombs, you must wait a second for them to regenerate. Using a Super Bomb also uses the three bombs.
10. What color is the Wave Beam?

Answer: Purple

This is the second beam you receive. It shoots out three separate beams that can even start up powerless machines.
