Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which is the only beam that will destroy a Pulse Bombu?

Answer: Wave Beam

Both Pulse and Scatter Bombus can only be destroyed by the Wave Beam, but other than this odd fact, they'll also disrupt Samus' visors if they get too close. Both Bombus are only found in the Phazon Mines and Phendrana Drifts. Scatter Bombus are often found in tunnels, and they extend to fill the circumference with three different 'arms'.

A way to avoid them is to simply roll between the arms. When you charge the Wave Beam, the Bombus will be attracted to the powerful electrical energy, so watch they don't get too close.
2. What is not a room in the Chozo Ruins that will contain Chozo Ghosts?

Answer: Reflecting Pool

The Reflecting Pool is a room next to the Hall of Elders, and you're more likely to find Stone Toads in there than anything. This room is also connected to the Antechamber (containing the Ice Beam), a Save Station, and two transport lifts. Chozo Ghosts often appear in groups of two or three, and all they'll do is shoot projectiles made of energy at you.

This energy will disrupt Samus' visor and temporarily stop you from using beams. To defeat the Chozo Ghosts, simply use your Power Beam, charged shots, and Super Missiles. Defeating the ghosts in the Sunchamber will get you a Chozo Artifact.
3. Excluding Metroid Prime, how many different Metroids are there in the game?

Answer: Three

Metroids come in three other forms: Metroids, Hunter Metroids, and Fission Metroids. Regular Metroids are found in the research labs of Phendrana Drifts and the lower levels of the Phazon Mines. To defeat them, simply use a charged shot of the Ice Beam and a Missile. If they latch onto your face, simply change into the Morph Ball and a bomb. Hunter Metroids are first found in the furthest reaches of Phendrana Drifts, and they have mutated to have a tentacle. Fission Metroids are only found in the Impact Crater, and they simply can't be defeated. If you attack them enough, they'll split into more Fission Metroids, so just avoid them.
4. Where are you likely to find Eyons?

Answer: On a wall

Eyons are weird creatures found on the walls of tunnels and hallways in the Chozo Ruins. Eyons will shoot lasers out at you from their pupils as you walk down the path, and they can't be destroyed. They can, however, be temporarily stunned if you use a beam to shut their eyes. An Ice Beam can also be used to freeze the creature.
5. Which of these is useful against Stone Toads?

Answer: Morph Ball Bombs

Stone Toads can be found in a couple locations in the Chozo Ruins, and they really shouldn't be that much of a threat. To defeat a Stone Toad, you must let it eat you in Morph Ball mode, then you must use a Morph Ball Bomb. It'll simply explode with one bomb.

In a couple points in the game, you can use these enemies to your advantage. For example, they'll help you reach the top of the half-pipe in the Reflecting Pool so that you can retrieve your Ice Beam.
6. Where are you likely to find a Triclops?

Answer: Magmoor Caverns

Triclopses are odd little enemies that are found throughout the caverns. They'll often gather things, and they can't be attacked unless you're in your Morph Ball. To defeat them, they need to be blown up with a bomb, so either lay some around and hope they get one, or let it catch you and blow it up before you're thrown away.
7. Which enemy is most likely to succumb to the Ice Beam?

Answer: Ice Trooper

All of these Troopers are found in the Phazon Mines, and they can only be defeated if you use the beam associated with their coloured armor. The Ice Trooper is probably the easiest to defeat. All you need to do is shoot a charged shot of the Ice Beam at them, then when they're frozen, a Missile will blow them to teeny weeny pieces.

The fight against Metroid Prime's first form is similar, since you need to attack it with the correct coloured beam.
8. What is the larger version of the Beetle enemy that is first found in Ruined Shrine of Chozo Ruins?

Answer: Plated Beetle

Unlike the Beetle, which can simply be shot at to be damaged, the Plated Beetle is protected by a large shield-like plate over its front. To defeat it, you need to let it charge at you so that you can shoot the red abdomen on its back. When it bursts, you've beaten the enemy. Later in the game, this enemy will appear in places originally containing Beetles, but charged shots from the Ice Beam or regular Plasma Beam shots will easily do it in.
9. Which enemy is found underwater?

Answer: Jelzap

The Jelzap is a creature made of two pieces held together by a ball of energy. When you get close to this energy, Samus' visor will disrupt the same way that it does near Bombus. To defeat a Jelzap, shoot it in its energy with an Ice Beam a couple of times. Watch out though, when its mouth is closed, it'll be protected by its outer shell. Geemers and Zoomers are found on the Tallon Overworld (and occasionally Magmoor Caverns), and Grizbies are in Magmoor Caverns as well.
10. Baby Sheegoths are only found in Phendrana Drifts.

Answer: True

Baby Sheegoths (and adult Sheegoths) are ice-dwelling creatures. To defeat Baby Sheegoths, you need to get behind the creature and shoot its back. The Plasma Beam works great here. Regular, adult Sheegoths are different. You need to shoot the adult ones in the face because their backs will absorb any shots thrown at it.
