Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Normally, only Flying-type Pokemon can participate in Sky Battles. However there are some exceptions to this rule. Which of these non-flying type Pokemon can participate in a Sky Battle?

Answer: Eelektross

Pokemon with the Levitate ability can participate in Sky Battles. There are fourteen trainers in the Kalos region that can be battled in this manner.
2. Although the "Pokemon" trading card game has always consistently spelled the name of this move correctly, the misspelling has remained in the "Pokemon" games for nearly five generations. Which move's spelling was finally corrected in "Pokemon X/Y"?

Answer: Feint Attack

Feint Attack is a physical damage-dealing move with a power of 60 and a PP of 20. Many other moves had their spelling corrected, such as Thunder Shock, which previously had no space in between both words.
3. For those of you not familiar with Effort Values, they are points that boost a Pokemon's base stats depending on what Pokemon they battle. In "Pokemon X/Y" a new feature called Super Training allows you to see these Effort Values on each of your Pokemon. If your HP Effort Values are maxed out, how many Effort Values do you have in that stat?

Answer: 252

Super Training is a feature created by Lumiose City's Gym Leader, Clemont, and allows trainers to raise the base stats of their Pokemon with the use of a punching bag. You can also take regimens, which are minigames that also raise the Pokemon's base stats. The feature also appears in "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby".
4. It wouldn't be a 3DS game if there weren't any 3D features. The 3D capabilities do not work in all parts of the game, however. So my question to you is, in which of these parts of the game is stereoscopic 3D enabled?

Answer: When a cutscene is playing

3D is only enabled when in a Single Battle, as opposed to any other kind of battle. During battles, the Pokemon are also fully animated and have their own 3D model, instead of sprites seen in previous games.

The friends you added through friend codes also appear here if they also own the game. Wonder Trade allows you to send out a Pokemon and get a random one in return from a trainer around the world.

7. One of the biggest additions to this game is a new temporary evolutionary stage for certain Pokemon called Mega Evolution. The Kalos Pokemon League Champion, Diantha, uses a Mega Gardevoir. What is true about Mega Gardevoir?

Answer: It has the highest base stat total of all non-Legendary Psychic Pokemon

Gardevoir uses a Gardevoirite to Mega Evolve, it is found on a traded Ralts in Café Soleil after entering the Hall of Fame. Mega Stones can only be found post-game between 8-9 PM after upgrading your Mega Ring in Anistar City.
8. Horde Encounters are another new feature added to "Pokemon X/Y". If the player comes across a horde of Whismur, and takes them all out with a Greninja holding a Macho Brace, how many EVs will the Greninja obtain?

Horde Encounters naturally occur in the wild, but can be forced by using Sweet Scent as a field move in tall grass. Occasionally, a mixed horde may appear, for example, a single Minun may appear in a horde of Plusle.
9. Pokemon-Amie is a feature that allows players to take care of their Pokemon by petting them, feeding them Poke Puffs, and playing with them using Minigames. One such minigame is called Head-It, which rewards the player with Poke Puffs. By getting 5 stars in the Unlimited difficulty, what do you get as a reward?

Answer: 4 Deluxe and 2 Supreme Poke Puffs
