This is the standard mission to test all new rangers. As happens often enough, Larry's Taillow acts up and flies off into Lyra Forest. You are instructed to go into the forest, then capture and return the Taillow to Larry.

After escorting Professor Hastings to Fall City, you find out that the city's rangers are all out gathering intelligence on the Go Rock Squad, leaving you to patrol the city. You undertake a series of quests to help the citizens of Fall City, on quest being to find the Skitty. Teresa has six of them, but one wanders back on its own.

Answer: Crawdaunt

After helping Fall City's citizens, you have to clear the Waterworks of Grimer that are causing problems. The journey will take you through a series of pipes and corridors. Near one of the pools of water, a Crawdaunt will pop out of the water if you come close enough (though its field move is of no use at the moment).

Answer: Hariyama

The rock falls were caused by Go Rock Squad grunts that tried to ambush you (unsuccessfully) when you escorted Professor Hastings through the tunnel earlier. Now you must return to clear out the rock falls they caused, which have been inhibiting transportation between Fall City and Ringtown. Of all the Pokémon in Krokka Tunnel, Hariyama is the only one with the level three crush field move required to destroy the boulders.

There are actually two such pairs; Magnemite and Magneton, and Scyther and Scizor. Magnemite and Magneton can recharge your styler if it becomes damaged. Scyther can cut up the cage holding a Raichu captive. Scizor does not join your team; it is released automatically when you defeat it after Garret sends it to attack you.

Answer: Kangaskhan

To get inside the wall, you need to break it down with a Pokémon that has a level three crush field move. The Golem that can be found in the Sekra Range can do this. To get the Kangaskhan, capture a Golem, bring it back to the crack in the wall, break through, and capture the Kangaskhan in the resulting cave.

Answer: Plusle and Minun

The final battle in the main portion of the game sees you recapturing Raikou, Suicune, and Entei from the Go Rock Squad boss and releasing them. Naturally, everyone involved is very wrapped up in what is happening. While everyone else is distracted, Plusle and Minun wander over to the machine the boss uses to control Pokemon and start jumping on it. Finally, everyone notices what is happening off to the side when the machine blows up.

Answer: Rayquaza

If after completing the game, you speak to Elita outside the Ranger Base in Wintown, you will hear of suspicious activity still going on near the Fiore Temple, where you beat the Go Rock Squad boss. If you return, you will face a gauntlet of leftover Go Rock Squad grunts. Beat them and you can face off against the Rayquaza that they were trying to capture.

Answer: Gyarados

Gyarados is worth 2500 points if you can catch it, but you have to beat the game before it will appear. Even then, you must catch five Magikarp first as well. Pelipper is worth 2301 points, Kingdra is worth 2300, and Wailmer is worth 2200.

Answer: Bulbasaur and Ivysaur

Cross, as you might expect, is used to cross over gaps where there isn't anything to stand on. You can use cross whenever you see a peg on the other side of the gap, which the Pokémon that uses cross will grab onto with its vines. Tangela is found throughout the Fiore Region, while Bulbasaur and Ivysaur are concentrated in the Lyra Forest.
