Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. An unusual weapon which uses enemies as ammunition

Answer: Suck Cannon

The Suck Cannon is one of the few weapons that you can find out there in the Solana Galaxy (rather than purchasing it from someone). Found at the Logging Site on planet Eudora, the Suck Cannon is also good on the old purse strings - ammunition is free! The downside is that you need to find small enough enemies to suck up to use as ammo.
2. This weapon renders your enemies harmless and "fowl" in a matter of seconds

Answer: Morph-o-Ray

Like the Suck Cannon, the Morph-o-Ray is free to collect and you don't need to pay for ammunition. In fact, the Morph-o-Ray doesn't use any ammunition at all - it just emits, well, a ray which morphs its target into a chicken. Smaller enemies morph more quickly, while bigger enemies generally aren't worth the wait (unless all your other weapons are empty). You'll find this weapon amongst the Gorda City Ruins on planet Oltanis (at the end of the first swingshot/floating taxi course).
3. The most expensive weapon in the game, obtained from a shady smuggler in Blackwater City

Answer: RYNO

If 40,000 bolts was daunting enough to save up to get the Tesla Claw, the RYNO is positively eye-watering with its 150,000 bolt price tag. Admittedly, it will pretty much blow everything and everyone to high heaven with one squeeze of the trigger, but chances are you'll need to play through the game more than once to save up every last bolt to afford it.

After that, though, you're pretty much unstoppable with this mother of a missile launcher in your hands.
4. Set your foes alight and burn your way through the hordes with this flamethrower

Answer: Pyrocitor

The Pyrocitor quite literally packs the firepower, reducing your enemies to ash in mere seconds. The only downside is its short range, so you'll need to be fairly close to get the most out of it. The Pyrocitor becomes available pretty early on (at Novalis, in fact) and costs a meagre 2,500 bolts, though chances are you'll have to buy it later once you've stockpiled a few bolts.
5. Now you can be in two places at once and confuse your enemies with this handy weapon

Answer: Decoy Glove

The Decoy Glove can temporarily exploit your enemies' innate stupidity by creating an inflatable decoy Ratchet to draw their attention away. Great for getting out of tight spots or nabbing a few extra seconds to switch weapons or scoop up some ammo, the Decoy Glove first becomes available on planet Pokitaru, a fitting location given the abundance of hostile wildlife, for 7,500 bolts.
6. This weapon fills the all-important "rocket launcher" slot in your arsenal

Answer: Devastator

Ahh, the Devastator. Now that's a REAL weapon. With a long range and a lock-on system to boot, this rocket launcher is guaranteed to plough through most enemies and obstacles in your way. Fittingly, it's first available to purchase upon reaching Fort Krontos on planet Batalia, an area besieged by Blarg forces.

At 10,000 bolts, it seems like a hefty purchase but it's definitely worth it in the long run.
7. Channel lightning itself and zap your foes into oblivion with this electrifying weapon

Answer: Tesla Claw

It seems appropriate that the Tesla Claw, a weapon that harnesses the power of electricity to shock your foes into submission, is first available upon reaching planet Oltanis, a place constantly bombarded by lightning strikes. The 40,000 bolts needed to purchase it from the Gadgetron vendor firmly makes it the most expensive weapon to legally acquire (unless you have the Persuader to drop it to a slightly more manageable 30,000).

However you manage to cobble together the bolts needed, your efforts will not be in vain - the Tesla Claw is one of the most effective weapons in the game.
8. This weapon literally packs a punch

Answer: Walloper

Sometimes it's better to get up close and personal with the baddies. Cue the Walloper, a deadly punching glove from Gadgetron that offers all the close-proximity pain of the Omniwrench, but with a little more 'oomph' behind it. Indeed, you'll find yourself being lurched in whatever direction you're sending your enemies flying, which can be a tad annoying at times, particularly if there is a perilous drop nearby and you're slightly distracted with all the damage-dealing.

At 7,500 bolts, the Walloper is one-of-a-kind - there's no gold weapon upgrade in store later, so just make do with that.
9. A simple pistol with auto-targeting and a modest capacity

Answer: Blaster

Because it becomes available towards the beginning of the game on Kerwan, the Blaster seems like quite a good weapon. It auto-targets, it fires quickly, it dispatches small enemies with ease. However, later on, it becomes less viable as the foes get tougher and the Blaster's bullets seem to just ping off them with very little effect.
10. Remotely lay waste to your enemies with this controllable missile launcher

Answer: Visibomb Gun

The Visibomb Gun, while powerful, is only really useful in a handful of situations. Firing a missile causes you to lock in place while the view shifts to the on-board screen as you steer the missile towards its intended destination. This can leave you vulnerable to attack if you're not clear of enemies around you.

The Visibomb Gun's missiles don't have an infinite range; once it strays too far from you, the screen will be overcome with static and the missile will automatically explode. One spot where this weapon is useful is at the Kogor Refinery on planet Orxon, where a Gold Bolt sits at the end of a blocked-off tunnel, only obtainable by sending a Visibomb missile down the length of the tunnel to open passage.
