1. Nightmare was in the original "Soul Calibur".

On Nightmare's profile, unlocked by beating Arcade with him, the last line of the Profile is 'Will he ever be Siegfried Schtauffen again?'

2. Whose first name is Chai?

Answer: Xianghua

The profile clearly states that her name is 'Chai Xianghua.' Hong Yunsung & Heishiro Mitsurugi exist, but I do not know about the other one. Her sword, however, does not have a name.

3. How many characters can be any other random character?

Answer: 2

Charade is the obvious one (unless you haven't unlocked him) but did you remember at the end of Arcade or Team Battle? The very last fight against Inferno, the beast of flame, who, in Arcade, changes his character so that he is 3 different characters, is also included, as he is a random character!

4. 'The power of darkness turns the gears of madness, once again.' Who does this pre-fight line describe?

Answer: Voldo

Voldo, the fifty year old scissor-fingered freak, is literally a maniac. Personally, I hate him, and worryingly, I have fought as him once and did quite well. The others are just evil.

5. 'His motivation is the thirst for power.' Who is this?

Answer: Mitsurugi

Mitsurugi was once a peasant, but is now an amazing fighter. His other line about him is: 'Battles risking the soul... a man becomes a slave to his own ambition.'

6. 'A man veiled in mystery appears.' Who is this?

Answer: Yoshimitsu

Yoshimitsu is originally from "Tekken", although his appearance has changed a lot for "Soul Calibur 2". He can still do many of the moves the same as before eg. Sit down & heal = (up & right on analog stick) X + Y (GameCube buttons)

Answer: Cassandra

It would also make sense to be Sophitia as her Arcade ending says she chose her own path, but it is Cassandra.

Link is only GameCube, but the others are all formats so you can not use the excuse of having a different version! Kilik's A+Y is very useful but also easy to block if you block from the start.

Answer: Seung Mina

Seung Mina is very similar to Kilik, fast and strong in one, and Seung Mina was also in the original "Soul Calibur". Her Arcade 'Destined Battle' is against Yunsung.

Answer: Charade

Charade's profile doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I manage to just understand it. All information is put as "Charade."
