Answer: Dog

Although all of these creatures are found to be infected by the T-Virus outbreak in the Spencer Estate, the dogs are perhaps the most deadly due to their speed and tendency to attack in groups of two or more. Nicknamed Cerberus after three-headed dog of Hell, you'll usually only find them outside (though sometimes you'll be ambushed when they break through the windows). An early puzzle has you use a dog whistle to attract a canine you need in order to secure its collar, but the item is discarded soon after.

Answer: Edward Dewey

Edward was attacked and transformed into a zombie in the events preceding this game (as seen in "Resident Evil Zero") although he was one of the key players as a S.T.A.R.S. pilot. The others, all S.T.A.R.S. members, are seen in this game, however. Rebecca is first seen in the Spencer Mansion and plays a major role in Chris' campaign while Wesker enters the game with Jill, Chris, and Barry. Meanwhile, Enrico Marini is found in the tunnels of the catacombs. Having uncovered a bit of the mystery behind Umbrella and the Spencer Mansion, he tries to reveal more information but is killed by an unknown assailant, later discovered to be Wesker.

Answer: Alpha Team

The Alpha Team was called in to investigate the disappearance of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team; when they found Kevin Dooley's corpse and helicopter in the Arklay Mountains they were forced to split up and head into what they thought was an abandoned mansion.

As it turned out it wasn't abandoned. Alpha Team consisted of Jill, Chris, Barry, Wesker, Joseph Frost, and Brad (the pilot). Bravo Team consisted of Rebecca Chambers (the only survivor), Richard Aiken, Forest Speyer, Kenneth J. Sullivan, Edward Dewey, and Enrico Marini. All of them were found throughout the search through the mansion and outlying locations except for Dewey, who died on the Ecliptic Express.

Answer: Tyrant

The Tyrant is one of the final B.O.W.s commissioned by the Umbrella Corporation's Arklay Mountain facility at the Spencer Estate. Found in one of the deepest chambers of the labs beneath the mansion, Wesker programs the creature to kill any remaining S.T.A.R.S. members before unleashing it and setting up the self-destruct sequence. Luckily, the team is able to escape to the roof and prompt a final battle with the creature. If you're able to weaken it, you'll receive a Rocket Launcher, end the battle once and for all, and fly away in Brad Vickers' helicopter before the place explodes.

Answer: Head

Crimson Heads are frightening creatures-- when you kill a zombie you'd expect it to be dead. Well, here's the thing: they were dead to begin with. Leaving a zombie on the ground will enable it to return as a Crimson Head, a stronger, faster, sharper, angrier foe who can take you down in a few quick hits.

The only way to prevent zombies from coming back as these creatures is by (a) decapitating them, (b) using proper launcher rounds, or (c) setting them on fire with kerosene and destroying any chance at regeneration. Sometimes it doesn't take long for them to come back at all, so swift action is necessary.

Answer: Magnum Revolver

The Magnum, while not the most powerful weapon in the game, is definitely worth the effort in solving puzzles because it will prove useful if you hold onto its ammo until late in the game. Stronger than your Shotgun and Handgun (and your Grenade Launcher), it can blast through enemies and is, perhaps, only topped by the single-bulleted Self Defense Gun found in the Residence.

This has the power of several Magnum bullets in a single shot; save it for emergencies.

Answer: Arrowhead

Heading through a hallway on the second floor of the Spencer Mansion adjacent to the dining room, the arrow you seek will be sticking out of a statue. Closer investigation of the item will allow you to disassemble it, taking the arrowhead off. You can later stick this into the grave marker in the cemetery behind the main lobby to gain access to an underground passageway and tomb.

This is an especially important room; it's where you get the Sword Key early on and the Stone and Metal Object needed to get out the back of the mansion.

Answer: Serum

In the mansion's west wing Drug Room (and helpful save spot), a rack of medicines and serums can be found along the wall next to the door. This will be important for players as they make their way through the Spencer Estate, mainly because poison can eat at your character quite quickly.

Although many of the monsters in the manor don't have poison abilities, Yawn, the snake boss in the attic and library, can and will poison your character (a given in the first battle). As Jill you'll need to run back to this room to get a Serum for another S.T.A.R.S. member; as Chris, you'll pass out and Rebecca will bring you to the room herself to administer the Serum.

Answer: Keys

There are four such keys in the game: the Sword Key, the Shield Key, the Armor Key, and the Helmet Key. This is, of course, in addition to Old Keys in Chris' campaign and assorted keys for rooms elsewhere in the campaign (eg. Room Keys in the Residence).

While many of these keys are obtained after solving difficult puzzles in the Spencer Mansion, the Helmet Key is found late in the game in the Residence after defeating Plant 42. When you've unlocked all the possible doors in the mansion with the specific keys, you're prompted to discard them from your inventory, freeing spaces up (which can be invaluable).

Answer: Death Mask

There are four Death Masks found as you make your way through the Spencer Mansion early on in the game and without them you can't find the Stone and Metal Object needed to sneak through the back gate. Once you locate all four Death Masks after a series of puzzles and encounters you'll have to place them in the proper order on the pedestals in the graveyard crypt hiding in the cemetery behind the main lobby.

This will prompt a battle with a relatively strong zombie hiding in a well-sealed metal coffin (for a reason, obviously).

After this, the Death Masks have no discernible use and you can move on to the next phase of the game.
