Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Let's start with some quotations. What air unit says, "It is a good day to die."

Answer: Corsair

The Corsair's main function is the Disruption Web. This targets ground units and structures. Units or structures that are under the Disruption Web will not be able to function until it wears off. This is very effective against structures such as the Zerg Spore Colony, Terran Missile Turrets, or Protoss Photon Cannons. Be sure to develop this ability!
2. What ground unit says, "I long for combat!"?

Answer: Zealot

Zealots are the basic ground unit for the Protoss. Unlike the Dragoon, they do not have anti-air weapons. In melee combats, it is useful to have a mix of Dragoons and Zealots. Upgrade for faster Zealot movement.
3. What ground unit says, "I have returned" and "I am needed."

Answer: Dragoon

The Dragoon is very effective against both ground and air units. Be sure to upgrade its attack range at the Cybernetics Core for a farther attack reach.
4. How many minerals does it take to make one Scarab for the Reaver?

Answer: 15

The Protoss Reaver is a ground unit that fires Scarabs. These Scarabs do 100 damage, but once upgraded they do 125 damage. The Scarabs are long-range and are devastating against approaching swarms of enemy units, especially Zerg and Terran.
5. How many minerals and Vespene gas does the first upgrade for the Plasma Shields require?

Answer: 200 minerals, 200 gas

Over their ground armor, Protoss units have Plasma Shields. This gives them extra protection. Once these shields are fully upgraded, they are quite invincible. Building Shield Batteries are useful for recharging their shields too.
6. Choose the correct answer to complete this sentence. "The Protoss Shuttle can fit..."

Answer: 2 reavers

The Protoss Shuttle is used to transport ground units over impassable terrain such as islands, valleys, etc. One Shuttle can accommodate 2 Reavers or 2 Dragoons; 4 Zealots or 4 High Templars or 4 Dark Templars; and 8 Probes.
7. Which of these is a detector?

Answer: Photon Cannon

The Photon Cannon, along with the Observer, is a detector. It can detect cloaked units (Wraiths and Ghosts from the Terran), burrowed units (Zerglings, Hydralisks, Defilers, from the Zerg) and naturally invisible units (Dark Templars from the Protoss). However, it is effective only in short-range detection and is stationary only. To have effective detection, build Observers.
8. Which among the following is NOT an air unit?

Answer: Archon

Archons are two High Templars fused together. They are ground units. The Corsair is an air unit with the ability to temporarily disrupt ground units' functions. The Arbiter is an air unit that can cloak ground and air units travelling with it. The Observer is an air unit that functions as a detector.
9. What unit has the abilities Hallucination and Psionic Storm?

Answer: High Templar

High Templars do not engage in hand to hand combat. They do have a devastating long range attack called Psionic Storm. It looks like thunderbolts or electricity, and it either kills or takes out a huge chunk of life from units caught under it. It is very effective against an approaching swarm of Zerg units as well as pesky Terran units such as Siege Tanks. Hallucinations, on the other hand, is the ability of the High Templar to make multiple copies of itself.
10. What are you (the player) addressed as in the Protoss campaigns? (This is usually mentioned at each mission briefing)

Answer: Executor

During mission briefings, the player is addressed as "Executor". "Judicator" is the title of Aldaris, the representative of the Conclave who briefs you in your missions. "Captain" is the address for Terran campaign players, and "Cerebrate" is the address for Zerg campaign players.
