Mack is found in the Mushroom Kingdom. While his face is easily shown on the top, if you look really closely, you can see his real eyes. The other bosses all give you other Stars.

If you find a slot machine chest and you get all the symbols different, you will fight the previous one, i.e., if you fought Pandorite, Box Boy, and Hidon in that order, and then that happened, you would fight Hidon.

Breaker Beam is a very powerful attack that hits all three members of the party. Neosquid certainly looks like it could use it, though. You are a lot more vulnerable when you are fighting Blade, unless you have gotten the Lazy Shell Armor and equipped someone with it. When you fight and defeat Cloaker first, you will fight the Mad Adder. The two different Snake bosses, Earth Link and Mad Adder, are pallet swaps of each other.
