Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Thanks to the "House Party" expansion, you can now fill your house with Tiki-themed furniture. What kind of fish can you now hang on your wall?

Answer: Marlin

SimBad's Stuffed Marlin costs $777, and it takes up a large chunk of your wall (3 units). It only brings up the room value by three points, and it's kinda bulky, so it might be wise to hang a few Ali'i Kahuna Ceremonial Tikis (although they cost $2,000). The Ali'i Kahuna Ceremonial Tiki has a room value of 5, and it only takes up one unit of space.
2. Which of these items costs the most?

Answer: Turntablitz DJ Booth

The Turntablitz DJ Booth costs $7,129. This item is used to play hip music at your wild parties. Oddly, if you place a Turntablitz DJ Booth near a bunch of "Bounce My Booty" Dance Floor squares, the floor will shine different colours to the beat of the song. The "Bounce My Booty" Dance Floor costs $1,250 for four panels.
The Spazmatronic Plasmatronic Go-Go Cage is also a party item. Your Sims can show their dance moves in these individual one-unit cages for only $1,749 per cage.
Although the ToroTee Mechanical Bull may seem expensive, it's still not as expensive as the DJ booth. This fun activity costs $5,678, and you can ride it on three different difficulties. This item will also raise your Body points much like the "Exerto" Benchpress Exercise Machine from the original game. The benchpress should only cost $700, and it takes up a third of the space.
3. Which is not an Inflatable Fun Chair?

Answer: Verdette

The 'Verdette' is a model of the Inflatable Fun Sofa along with the 'Sky Surfer' and the 'Psycha'. Both the Inflatable Fun Chairs and the Inflatable Fun Sofas have a comfort rating of 3 and a room value of 1, but the sofas, also have an energy rating of 5. Basically, each Inflatable Fun Chair matches with its corresponding sofa, and you can have a set.

This furniture is a colourful addition to any room as long as it doesn't spring a leak.
4. Are there any new appliances in the "House Party" expansion pack?

Answer: No

Although there are no new appliances on "House Party", you can get a hooded stove and a new barbecue in the "Hot Date" expansion pack. Anyways, why would one need more appliances? The first expansion (and the original game) provided us with many appliances from espresso machines to stoves.
5. What style of clothing can you not change into when you use the Porta-Parody Costume Trunk?

Answer: Hippie

The Porta-Parody Costume Trunk contains westernwear, togas, swimsuits, clubwear, costumes, disco, formalwear, and beachwear. For only $496, you can provide hours of fun at a house party of your own! The costume trunk takes up four units of space, and it comes with an option that will tell all of your houseguests to dress in a certain type of clothing.
6. Which "House Party" item is less than $100?

Answer: Neukum Stereo Speaker

The Punchucopia Extraordinaria is a punch bowl that matches the Elegant Chef Buffet Table, and although it adds no value to your room, it has a fun value of 2 and a hunger value of 1. It costs only $150.
The KampRile Instant Campfire is an outdoor item with a fun and comfort value of 2. Although it's placed amongst the outdoor items, you can place it indoors as well although I'd suggest sticking a smoke detector nearby. It costs $482.
The LED Pod Light is a flashing light that's great for parties. Much like the Symbol Light, it can get very annoying. It costs $131.
The only listed item under $100 is the Neukum Stereo Speaker at $99. It has a room value of 1, and although Sims don't dance to it, it can be connected to any radio and be played anywhere throughout your house.
7. How much does a "Sublime Slime" Installation cost?

Answer: $9,000

Now here's a neat new addition to the decoration section. The "Sublime Slime" Installation may cost $9,000, but it has a room value of 8. Sure, it's expensive, but it's a welcome change from all of the new trendy, colourful paintings. This new art takes up two units of space.
8. Which food can't be bought in "House Party"?

Answer: Pie

All of these items can be found under the miscellaneous items. The cheapest (at $10) are Granny Raymond's Holiday Cookies. This plate of cookies is now the cheapest item in the game. You can also buy the SimFarm Turkey Dinner for $102. Aside from these, there are two buyable cakes.

The first is the Birthday Cake for $49, and the second is the Fancy Feet Cake Treat for $300. The Fancy Feet Cake Treat is kinda funny. Not only can you hire an entertainer to pop out of the cake, but they'll stick around for your party and talk with the guests.

There is one downside to this; the entertainer can turn your houseguests against one another.
9. How many different 'Wicked Breeze' items (which are new from "House Party") can be purchased?

Answer: Two

The Wicked Breeze Surf Shower can be purchased for $672, and it has a room value of 1 and a hygiene rating of 5. We're lucky that this is buyable; there were no new showers in "Livin' Large". There are two new showers in this expansion.
The second item is the Wicked Breeze Counter. The counter is very affordable (only $180), and it goes well with other Tiki items.
The other 'Wicked Breeze' item in this game is the Wicked Breeze End Table ($55).
10. What is the room value of the 'Black Bile Bear'?

Answer: 3

The 'Black Bile Bear' is one of the eighteen new "House Party" decorative items, and it's one of the most expensive. At $520, the item may not be worth buying, but it fits well with items in one of the future expansions. Then again, you may want to set it up in a room along with the hunting trophies you can place on your wall.
