Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Mickey wakes up on an operating table in a kind of dystopian castle with the Mad Doctor about to remove our hero's heart with a plunger. Where in the Wasteland is this place?

Answer: Dark Beauty Castle

"Epic Mickey" is like an epic poem; the game starts right in the middle of a fight between Gremlin Gus, who frees Mickey, who aids him in defeating the machine, and the Mad Doctor.
The Mad Doctor was a cartoon created by Disney in 1933, where Mickey has to rescue his dog, Pluto, from the clutches of Doctor XXX, a Mad Scientist who looks much like the Mad Doctor. At the end of the cartoon, Mickey realizes that it was all a nightmare and Pluto jumps up in bed next to him.
In some theaters, this cartoon wasn't shown because the owners of the theater thought it was too frightening for children to handle.
2. Mickey and Gremlin Gus have escaped from the Mad Doctor and make their way through a series of amusement park rides and eventually come to a village where they are tasked by Small Pete to find his journal and prove his innocence. What is this place called?

Answer: Gremlin Village

This is the one time you can visit Gremlin village. Take the time to climb the clock tower and gain the rewards up there, especially the golden 100 e-tickets. Watch out for the thinner!

The Gremlins were created by Roald Dahl during World War II in the novel "The Gremlins". A Gremlin is a term used by the Royal Air Force to explain something like a mechanical issue.
3. After being confronted by Small Pete, Mickey and Gus square off against an evil Clock Tower. Whether the tower is defeated with paint or destroyed with thinner, Mickey and Gus make their way to this street, filled with Disney's forgotten cartoon characters. What street is this?

Answer: Mean Street

Mean Street is the place to be; it has sidequests, a cinema, an ice cream parlor, a store, a museum, and many other goodies! Enjoy your stay here and take your time... don't forget to turn in any film reels that you have to the usher.
4. After gathering enough power sparks to power the projector, you enter into a classical Disney cartoon. In fact, this is one of the most famous ones of all, and is somewhat similar to another Disney story. What cartoon is this?

Answer: Thru the Mirror

"Thru the Mirror" is one of Disney's most famous "Mickey Mouse" cartoons, although probably not as famous as "Steamboat Willie". One of the most unique things about this 2D level is that when you go to OsTown, you go from left to right, but when going to Mean Street, you go right to left.
5. Mickey and Gus emerge from the Projector and immediately Mickey notices some similarities between this town and the one that he lives in. One of these things is a red car and a yellow house. Also, there is a familiar face: It's Animatronic Goofy! What place is this?

Answer: OsTown

OsTown is a parallel town to the one that Mickey lived in. Even Mickey's house is there... but, it isn't Mickey's house anymore. It belongs to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and Minnie Mouse's house has been replaced by the house of Ortensia, the wife of Oswald.
6. To reach Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey and Gus must climb up Mickeyjunk Mountain, a junkyard of assorted Mickey Mouse relics. At the summit of Mickeyjunk Mountain, within Mount Osmore's cavern area, Mickey is challenged to complete three challenges. However, one of these challenges is not one that Mickey is tasked with completing. Which is it?

Answer: Oh, Teacher

All four of these cartoons featured Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, however, "Oh, Teacher" wasn't one of the three challenges in Mt. Osmore Caverns.

Also, Mickeyjunk Mountain is one level where you can see how much of effort was put into the game by Junction Point... everything in the environment was designed carefully, and to look exactly like older Disney things about Mickey Mouse. It is kind of ironic/symbolic that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's throne room is built atop of a mountain of thrown-away Mickey Mouse memorabilia.
7. After collaborating on how to send Mickey out of the Wasteland and back into his world, Oswald decides to send Gus and Mickey to this futuristic city to a rocket, where (theoretically) Mickey would be sent home. What is this futuristic city filled with Beetleworx, Blotlings, and parts of Animatronic Goofy?

Answer: Tomorrow City

Tomorrow City is one place where you should just slow down and look at how much effort Junction Point put into it. You can find so many pins, e-tickets, film reels, bonus content, animatronic parts, and even some dog tags! Just don't become too entranced because the foes there are very unforgiving, especially the blotling Slobber and the Beetleworx Spinners and Tankers...
8. Har har har! Welcome to this town of pirates! Here, Mickey and Gus meet Damien Salt, Animatronic Daisy, Smee, Scurvy Pat, and a few tiki masks. What venturous town are Mickey and Gus in?

Answer: Ventureland

Ah, Damien Salt... the poor chap just wants to get his sweetheart, Clarabella, a gift, and leaves it up to Mickey who could either give him some flowers or the source of true happiness: ice cream... Sadly, Clarabella leaves Damien if he gives her ice cream. If you give flowers, you get some pins, three for the flowers, and then the Ventureland Romance Pin as well!
9. BOO! Here, in this rather spooky place, Mickey and Gus meet Gilbert, Ian, Jim, Metairie, Gabriel, Louis, Bertrand, and Animatronic Donald. Also, Mickey obtains the Red Badge of Courage in this rather murky place. But what is this place called?

Answer: Bog Easy

Bog Easy... Here you get the Red Badge of Courage. You can make a ton of e-tickets off of Ian, who will buy it off of you for 200 of the things!

But if you do that, you can't help out the other ghosts of the town. It's up to you!
10. Finally! After fighting the Shadow Blot, multiple Bloticles in many areas, and climbing many towers, the final battle takes place. Where does it take place?

Answer: Inside the Blot

Congratulations if you beat "Epic Mickey"! Twice as much if you did it on your second play through!

What is interesting about the end of the game is that every little decision you made, whether to use Paint or Thinner, to help out a Gremlin or to send him flying, and other such decisions, all influence the outcome of the game, not the actual amount of Pins, film reels or bonus content found. This is a huge decision making game where, yes, items are important, but it isn't necessary to have them to complete the game.
