Question 1 of 10
1. Simple game: You get only one type of plant, namely the wall-nuts. For variety, however, some of them are explosive or double-sized. You don't plant them either - you'd rather have them bounce around. Which mini-game am I describing? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. You get a garden full of plants ready-made and need to form lines of three identical plants by swapping them while repelling zombies as well. Which mini-game am I describing now? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. For once, you're essentially playing a normal level, but your goal is not to repel all zombies but to plant fourteen of one specific plant type in a predetermined pattern. Which mini-game am I describing here? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. If the normal game is too slow for you, you might enjoy the next mini-game because everything (including sun generation and seed recharging) runs at a multiple of the normal speed. Which mini-game, otherwise a normal level, am I describing? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. If you can't have enough plants, the next game is for you. Set on the rooftop, placing a plant will create up to five copies of that plant. However, you'll need them because the game will throw an arsenal of the most powerful zombies at you quickly. Which mini-game is this? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Why leave all the fun to the plants? Just give me a hammer and I'll deal with those pesky zombies in best midway style. Oh, I might still occasionally want to plant something - some gravebusters might come in handy! Which mini-game am I describing? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Don't like the early setup phase where you have to build up sun and fight slow basic zombies before it really starts? Well, here's the deal: Take 5,000 sun already acquired, build your defense and we'll throw something really good at you right away. Oh, your defenses better hold because you'll only get a meager sun amount for small repairs at the end of each wave. Which mini-game thus jumps right into the action? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. The zombies strike back! They have acquired some of your own plants' powers and can now shoot at your plants, resist impact with nutshells and do any other mischief normally reserved only for you. Which mini-game, available in two versions, is this? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Story mode was too easy for you, especially the final level? Well, how about we up the ante, let night fall on the roof and then play it again as a mini-game, only with harder settings and more zombies? Which mini-game is the ultimate level? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Finally, after all this fighting against the zombies, you might be hungry for some "BRAIIIIIINS" yourself. Well, nothing easier than that: Take control of some zombies and send them after that guy in the house and his family to eat five brains. If it weren't for those pesky plants...

Which game is this?
Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Simple game: You get only one type of plant, namely the wall-nuts. For variety, however, some of them are explosive or double-sized. You don't plant them either - you'd rather have them bounce around. Which mini-game am I describing?

Answer: Wall-nut Bowling

"Wall-nut Bowling" exists in two versions, a rather easy variant without the double-sized nut and a more frenetic one with all three nut types. The basic nut bounces diagonally between zombies, the red explosive one incinerates all zombies in an area around the first hit and the big one rolls straight down a path, flattening everything in its way.
2. You get a garden full of plants ready-made and need to form lines of three identical plants by swapping them while repelling zombies as well. Which mini-game am I describing now?

Answer: Beghouled

Based on the PopCap game "Bejeweled", the "Beghouled" mini-game uses the same mechanism, but instead of a timer counting down, an ever-increasing number of zombies is attacking your playing field. A more difficult variant of the game, "Beghouled Twist", rotates a group of four plants instead of swapping two neighboring ones as the basic move.
3. For once, you're essentially playing a normal level, but your goal is not to repel all zombies but to plant fourteen of one specific plant type in a predetermined pattern. Which mini-game am I describing here?

Answer: Seeing Stars

In "Seeing Stars", you need to plant a total of fourteen starfruit plants in a pattern itself resembling a five-pointed star. The level itself is a standard one with normal sun generation and planting costs and the opposing zombies are not very strong - just numerous.
4. If the normal game is too slow for you, you might enjoy the next mini-game because everything (including sun generation and seed recharging) runs at a multiple of the normal speed. Which mini-game, otherwise a normal level, am I describing?

Answer: Zombie Nimble Zombie Quick

"Zombie Nimble Zombie Quick" is a standard level on the pool setup with mostly weak zombies, but including the pole vaulter and dolphin jumper. The catch is that everything runs at blazing speed and you have to plant extremely quickly to stay ahead of the invasion.
5. If you can't have enough plants, the next game is for you. Set on the rooftop, placing a plant will create up to five copies of that plant. However, you'll need them because the game will throw an arsenal of the most powerful zombies at you quickly. Which mini-game is this?

Answer: Column Like You See 'Em

This time, the game doesn't pull any punches. Six Gargantuars and almost every other powerful zombie type come at you, but each plant you place is replicated to every free spot in the same column. Thus, a single chili pepper can annihilate all opponents on the screen. You'll still suffer attrition quickly and will often have to make suboptimal choices because only some of your columns are damaged but need urgent repair.
6. Why leave all the fun to the plants? Just give me a hammer and I'll deal with those pesky zombies in best midway style. Oh, I might still occasionally want to plant something - some gravebusters might come in handy! Which mini-game am I describing?

Answer: Whack a Zombie

Based on the popular "Whack a Mole" concept, this game hands you a hammer and a lot of zombies to use it on. They emerge from their graves and come at you, some of them giving you only an extremely short time to clobber them to death because they can spawn rather far towards your side. Using gravebusters can increase your chances significantly, especially by eliminating those pesky tombstones all the way to the left.

Answer: Last Stand

In "Last Stand", you also get to fight some of the most powerful hordes the game has at its disposal, but you get to do so with an almost impenetrable defense. Choose your setup wisely, however - you don't want to have the perfect anti-Gargantuar machine set up only to find out that some miner zombies take it out before you score a single kill.
8. The zombies strike back! They have acquired some of your own plants' powers and can now shoot at your plants, resist impact with nutshells and do any other mischief normally reserved only for you. Which mini-game, available in two versions, is this?

Answer: ZomBotany

In "ZomBotany", your arsenal is the normal one - you generate sun and plant defenses. However, your opponents are walking plants, having your own powers and resistances. The second version of this game is among the most difficult mini-games and several well-practiced strategies from the story mode will inevitably fail against the green-headed horde.
9. Story mode was too easy for you, especially the final level? Well, how about we up the ante, let night fall on the roof and then play it again as a mini-game, only with harder settings and more zombies? Which mini-game is the ultimate level?

Answer: Dr. Zomboss' Revenge

"Dr. Zomboss' Revenge" is just like the final boss level from story mode except that the mechanically enhanced brain-eating genius has brought some better equipment this time. He can take more damage, he sends more Gargantuars and ambulances at you and generally has learned a lot from his previous defeat. Oh, and for the fun of it, we'll set all of this against the missing sixth backdrop - you get to see the roof at night for the only time in the game.
10. Finally, after all this fighting against the zombies, you might be hungry for some "BRAIIIIIINS" yourself. Well, nothing easier than that: Take control of some zombies and send them after that guy in the house and his family to eat five brains. If it weren't for those pesky plants... Which game is this?

Answer: I, Zombie

"I, Zombie" is not a mini-game but one of the two puzzle modes of the game (the other is "Vasebreaker"). You get some starting amount of sun, but this time, you get to buy zombies for it and attack plants. Eating a sunflower will give you more sun with which to buy more and stronger zombies and eating a brain will... well, give you that nice, filling feeling.

There are nine standard scenarios in which you have a limited zombie selection with which to solve just one level and an endless mode during which you get all of the zombies from the previous nine and any leftover sun carries from one level to the next, with the goal to survive and dine on brains as long as possible.
