Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was Nintendo's first home video game console?

Answer: Color TV Game 6

The Color TV Game 6 was originally a "Pong" console that had six variations of "Pong" on it. It was only released in Japan and even got a sequel, the Color TV Game 15 I do believe.
2. What three consoles had the same controller ports?

Answer: The Genesis, 2600, and Colecovision

The Sega Genesis, Atari 2600, and the Colecovision all happened to have the same controller ports. That meant you could use a Genesis controller on a 2600, or even a Colecovision on Genesis!
3. What company helped make the Phillips CDi other than Phillips and quite possibly Sony and Nintendo?

Answer: Magnavox

Magnavox, the granddaddy of video game consoles, helped make that garbage. Their logo is on the smaller CDi model where people can see it. I do not know what they were a part of it but they were a part of it!
4. What company created the first wireless controllers?

Answer: Atari

Back in the day, Atari actually did make a wireless controller for the 2600. The controller was thicker and had a giant antenna sticking out of it. It was like a controller radio or around that area.
5. What Nintendo DS menu icon could make the system blue screen when you are using it?

Answer: "Pictochat"

If you pull out the DS cartridge while in "Pictochat", the system will blue screen. If you do this on a DS Lite, it will purple screen. I don't think it will do the same on the DSi and 3DS though.
6. What console was the first one to have a camera peripheral for online gaming?

Answer: Sega Dreamcast

There was a camera for the Dreamcast actually, called the Dreameye. It looked weird though. It was only released in Japan and only worked on Japaneese Dreamcast games.
7. How many sensors did you need to put on your TV to use the Power Glove?

Answer: Three

The Power Glove being one of the worst of the worst, had to have terrible sensors. It was the strangest position too. Besides, it never stayed on. There was one on the corner and two on the sides.
8. What was the Colecovision's second add on?

Answer: A steering wheel

Out of its array of massive add-ons, the Colecovision steering wheel was only number 2! it was about the size of the trackball controller for the same console.
9. What was Nintendo's first attempt at 3D visuals?

Answer: Famicom 3D System

The 3D System was only available in Japan for the Famicom and it was a pair of glasses. It was only compatible with some games and you would change the games into 3D mode by using the select button on player 1's controller because player 2 had no start and select buttons.
10. What is the Sega Genesis' European name?

Answer: Mega Drive

In Europe, the Sega Genesis had the name of the Mega Drive. The logo also looked a bit different and so did the system itself, even though they weren't much different. Plus, the box art for "Sonic 3" was completely different.
