Answer: Wii Sports

This incredibly popular and fun game sold over eighty million copies by the end of 2017. Five sports are included in this game - tennis, bowling, baseball, golf and boxing. Using the Wii Remote, players simulate real life actions of each of the sports. For instance, if a player is playing tennis, they move their arm, holding the remote, as if they were swinging a tennis racket. Training activities are also included in the game to help players keep track of their progress.
2. This 2008 multiplayer horror game is set amid an outbreak of the "Green Flu". What game is this?

Answer: Left 4 Dead

This is a game that allows players to work together cooperatively to accomplish a goal. Players play as one of four characters who are survivors of a flu that essentially turns people into zombie-like mutants. The four characters are a college student, a biker, an account manager and a Vietnam vet.

The goal is to make it to a safe place without getting infected. Players help each other out and are encouraged to stick together (they can see colored outlines of other characters during gameplay). If a players health depletes, they can only move again with the assistance of another player.
3. This super popular game was released in 2000 and sees players making decisions about careers and relationships for characters. What is it?

Answer: The Sims

In this game, players control customizable characters (Sims) as they go about their daily lives. Decisions about everything from hygiene to interactions with other Sims to finding a job and paying bills are taken. The Sims have some level of autonomy but don't always make the best decisions (for instance they might neglect their hygiene) and a player can remove the option for the Sims to behave with with autonomy.

The Sims have their own language called Simlish. The game was named Game of the Year by "GameSpot" for 2000.
4. In this 2008 horror game players control a character named Isaac on a spaceship named Ishimura. What game is this?

Answer: Dead Space

In this game, players take on the character Isaac Clarke who is on a spaceship. Players need to complete objectives while navigating the ship and fighting enemies called Necromorphs. Necromorphs appear from vents or from corpses. As players navigate the ship, they can find ammunition and codes that unlock doors, upgrade weapons and upgrade Isaac's suit.
5. In this 2008 battle game, players can choose from a wide variety of characters such as Link or Wario, all from various different games. What is this?

Answer: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

In this game, players can use a variety of Wii controllers to play - the Wii Remote, Nunchuk, GameCube controller or classic controller. Players can choose from a number of different characters and battle other players on various stages, trying to knock their opponents off the screen.

There are in total thirty nine characters to choose from in this crossover game, with characters from various franchises appearing. There are a total of forty-one stages to choose to brawl on. It was named Fighting Game of the Year by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.

Answer: Counter-Strike

This game was initially developed as a modification to the game "Half-Life." It was released in 2000 and is set in various locations around the world. Two teams - the terrorists and anti-terrorists - fight each other for domination. A team wins by either eliminating all the opponents or achieving the objectives of a map.

The objectives vary depending on the map but there are some common objectives including assassinations or defusing a bomb. Once a player is killed, they become a spectator until the round is over and can then join as a combatant again.
7. In this 2007 action-adventure game, players follow Altair as he carries out a series of killings. What is this?

Answer: Assassin's Creed

This game takes place during the Third Crusade of the Holy Land. It takes place in 1191 and the main character, a modern-day man named Desmond Miles, takes on the memories of an ancestor of his named Altair. Altair is a deadly assassin who is on a mission to regain his honor.

He does so by going after nine targets throughout the Holy Land. There are four main cities in the game that include Jerusalem and Damascus and players can explore any of the world in the game freely. Players can use a number of different tactics to get Altair to carry out his tasks including blending in with crowds and using using retractable blades or using parkour to scale buildings.
8. This 2004 first-person shooter game featuring Jack Carver is the first in a series. What game is this?

Answer: Far Cry

In "Far Cry" players follow a former special forces operative named Jack Carver who is stranded on a groups of islands. He is looking for a journalist who went missing and while doing so uncovers experiments that are happening. The game is played from a first person point of view, and players choose from a variety of weapons to fight enemies. Sound plays a big part in this game as footsteps and conversations are heard that alert the player to enemies.

The game takes place in land and water and indoors as well as outdoors.

It received a number of German Developer Awards.
9. This 2001 first-person shooter game centers around a detective investigating a drug called Valkyr. What game is this?

Answer: Max Payne

Players play as the main character Max Payne in this game. Payne is a detective whose family was killed and he's trying to find out what happened to them. As he investigates their deaths, he uncovers a large conspiracy that involves multiple different organizations including the military that are involved in the development of a new designer drug.

The game is created in a film noir style and is one of the first video games to use the slow bullet effect popularized by the movie "The Matrix."
10. In this 2002 first-person shooter game, players can choose to be an Axis or an Allied power. What is it?

Answer: Battlefield 1942

In this cooperative game, players can choose to be an Axis or Allied power. They can also choose one of several infantry classes that include Scout, Medic or Engineer. Players can fly planes, navigate ships and manage anti-aircraft or machine guns. The game takes place across various locations of World War II battlefields, including European, African and Pacific fronts.

The object of the game is to eliminate enemies and hold certain strategic points, working together with teammates.
