So technically this game was made available to the public in 2009 however it wasn't fully released until 2011. The game environment is made of 3D objects that represent materials such as lava, diamonds and stone. Players can build all kinds of structures (for example houses, villages, furniture etc...) and mine for the different materials. Players also try to defeat monsters such as the enderman and the creeper.

There are also mobs such as zombies, skeletons and spiders that players need to avoid or kill.

There are no objectives or goals for players to play towards, there is a large amount of free play in this game.

Answer: God of War

This game is inspired by Norse mythology and mostly set in the realm of Midgard. Kratos is the former Greek God of War who is on a journey with his son Atreus to spread his wife's ashes at the peak of the nine realms. The journey is fraught with obstacles and monsters.

There are times when Atreus can be passively controlled by the player through the use of a button however Kratos is the only fully player-controlled character in the game as he engages in fighting and solves puzzles.

The three distinct game mode versions of "Fortnite" are "Fortnite: Save the World", "Fortnite Battle Royale" and "Fortnite Creative." In "Fortnite: Save the World" players fight off zombie-like creatures. In "Fortnite Battle Royale" up to one hundred players engage in fighting to be the last player standing.

In "Fornite Creative" there is freedom for players to create worlds. Both "Creative" and "Battle Royale" are free to play. This game is extremely popular and won a number of awards including several Gamers' Choice Awards.

Remember when people were walking around looking for 'Pokestops?' They were playing this very popular game that got people outside engaged in physical activity. Using a video game on their mobile phone, players try to find where Pokemon characters are and then capture them. Players are shown as an avatar on a game map and as players move around the real world, their avatars move around the game map. Different types of Pokemon live in different areas and players move around to figure out where they are.

There are features on the game map called 'PokeStops' and 'Pokemon Gyms' which are actual areas of interest in the real world, encouraging people to visit them to obtain their characters.

Answer: Stardew Valley

"Stardew Valley" is a farming simulation game. Players take on a character who has received a plot of overrun farmland and a house from a deceased grandfather. They must then work the land to make it suitable for farming again, tend to crops and animals and interact with townspeople. Players can also explore, fish, cook and craft and take on additional activities that earn them money or materials. Players get to choose the particular farm type they want from a number of different choices. Each choice has pros and cons for the player to consider.

Answer: Overwatch

In this team play game, players choose a character from a number of different hero classes. Damage heroes inflict the most amount of damage, tank heroes can take the most amount of damage and support heroes heal others. Every hero from the more than two dozen characters has a unique set of abilities and players can change their character throughout the game. Teams work together to accomplish specific objectives within a limited amount of time.

There is a professional esports league for players of "Overwatch."

Answer: The Walking Dead

"The Walking Dead" video game takes place in the same environment as the comic book of the same name however the main characters are specific to the game. The main character in the game is a professor and convicted criminal named Lee Everett who is looking after a young girl named Clementine. Lee and Clementine meet up with other survivors as Lee tries to get Clementine back to her parents. Players make decisions for the characters that drive the storyline in particular directions and can have varying consequences (such as characters dying).

This game focuses heavily on storytelling and character development.

Answer: Super Meat Boy

"Super Meat Boy" is a platform game in which players control the main character who is a red cube-shaped character named Meat Boy. Meat Boy is trying to rescue his girlfriend from the evil Dr. Fetus. Meat Boy can run and jump and slide off walls while navigating through various levels and avoiding obstacles.

There are over three hundred levels available to play in the game, which is divided into chapters. Once Meat Boy achieves a certain number of levels, he meets a significant enemy that he must defeat in order to move on through the game.

Answer: Papers, Please

In this game, players take on the character of an immigration inspector of a fictional country. The object is to check the required documentation of people wanting to come into the country and determine if the papers are appropriate or if the individual is a terrorist or criminal.

In order to make determinations the player has a number of tools at their disposal including interrogation, fingerprinting and body scans. The player must decide to accept or reject each individual. Money is earned at the end of each game day based on how well the player made decisions and moral dilemmas are presented such as being offered to help a shady organization.

The game won a number of awards.

Answer: Journey

This game has a very interesting concept. Players control a robed character who is journeying through the desert. Characters can walk, jump or briefly fly as they make their way to a mountain, which is the ultimate goal. Two players can meet each other in the game however the characters can't communicate with each other outside of a musical chime.

The game takes place through various levels and the musical chime turns the world a red color which gives access to open doors or other areas that weren't accessible before.

The game takes about two to three hours to complete.
