Question 1 of 10
1. I am a heavy 9-footer that runs at 170 BPM. On Heavy, I feature plenty of "crossovers" and I have sections where the dancer must tap seven or so consistent 8th notes on one of the arrows. I am produced by NAOKI. What song am I? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. I am a heavy 9-footer though some players have considered me to be a 10. Though I am only a 9, I feature a max combo of 500! Which song am I? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. I am a heavy 7-footer. Despite that, even expert players should be wary of me. Many have complained about my "syncing" and that I am too hard for a 7-footer, presumably because of my sections where three 16th notes must be hit followed by a jump just an eighth later. Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. On heavy, I feature a very challenging stepchart including several messy cross-over runs at the end. I am also FAST in terms of BPM however there are some points where I slow down to half my normal speed. Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. I was first from "Beatmania IIDX". Like many songs, I have a BPM of 170. Among single heavy 10-footers, that is one of the lowest. I am not a 10-footer on Singles Heavy - BUT I am a 10 in another singles mode. What song am I? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. My artist was named after my BPM. I have a prime symbol (') after my three digits, however. What song am I? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Talk about Light mode being a difficulty "easy enough for anyone to enjoy"! I bring a Light 9-foot chart to the table. And, for experts as well as people trying out the 3-foot Beginner chart too: can you read 600 BPM? Oh, and that's if you play 1x. What song am I? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. I am a licensed track released on "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme"'s home version. I feature LOTS of freeze arrows on Heavy, as well as 12th notes! What song am I? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. I am another licensed track on "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme" for US PS2. I actually feature occasional sets of 2 consecutive 8th notes on LIGHT singles. What song am I? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. I am named for the initial of the composer of my melody. On challenge, I feature 16th drills at 150 BPM. What song am I? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I am a heavy 9-footer that runs at 170 BPM. On Heavy, I feature plenty of "crossovers" and I have sections where the dancer must tap seven or so consistent 8th notes on one of the arrows. I am produced by NAOKI. What song am I?

Answer: "Can't Stop Falling In Love [Speed Mix]"

The other options: "Dynamite Rave (B4 ZA Beat Mix)" is indeed 170 BPM but it is a challenge-only stepchart that is a 7 footer. "Electro Tuned" runs at 125 BPM and while "Cartoon Heroes" IS a heavy 9-foot 170BPM song and it does indeed feature some of the said same-arrow 8th notes and crossovers, it does not reach "seven or so notes".

This song was released on "DDR 5th Mix" as a heavy (maniac) 9-footer. For home version PS2 users, the song can be found on "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme", and in arcades can be found on: "5th Mix", "DDRMax", "DDRMax 2", "DDR Extreme" and "DDR Supernova". The original song "Can't Stop Falling In Love" was released on "DDR Solo 2000". Another mix of this song, "Can't Stop Falling In Love -Super Euro Version" can be found in "Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA" as well as another Konami dancing game, "ParaParaParadise".
2. I am a heavy 9-footer though some players have considered me to be a 10. Though I am only a 9, I feature a max combo of 500! Which song am I?

Answer: "So Deep [Perfect Sphere Remix]"

The other three songs are incorrect as their max-combos on heavy mode are 370, 447 and 446 respectively. It should also be noted that "SAKURA" on heavy is a 10-footer in rating despite its (relatively) low max combo, compared against other songs with the 10 difficulty.

"So Deep [Perfect Sphere Remix]" by Silvertear has a very high density of 16th notes for a 140 BPM song. This song was taken from "Dancemania Fantasia".
3. I am a heavy 7-footer. Despite that, even expert players should be wary of me. Many have complained about my "syncing" and that I am too hard for a 7-footer, presumably because of my sections where three 16th notes must be hit followed by a jump just an eighth later.

Answer: "D2R"

All of the songs mentioned are heavy 7-footers but only "D2R" has the 'three 16ths then a jump' pattern.

This song was released on "Dance Dance Revolution MAX 2".
4. On heavy, I feature a very challenging stepchart including several messy cross-over runs at the end. I am also FAST in terms of BPM however there are some points where I slow down to half my normal speed.

Answer: "PARANOIA Survivor"

The other songs don't have the 'slow down to 1/2 original BPM'.

Interestingly, unlike the others in the series, "PARANOIA survivor" and "PARANOIA survivor MAX", as well as "PARANOIA ETERNAL" have a capital I in the word PARANOIA. The other songs have a small i. "PARANOIA survivor" on Heavy scrolls at 270 BPM but has its 'slowdowns' at 135 BPM. It is a 10-footer, as is "PARANOIA survivor MAX" and its challenge steps.
5. I was first from "Beatmania IIDX". Like many songs, I have a BPM of 170. Among single heavy 10-footers, that is one of the lowest. I am not a 10-footer on Singles Heavy - BUT I am a 10 in another singles mode. What song am I?

Answer: "Xepher"

"bag" is a 10 footer on heavy but has a BPM of 65. "Cartoon Heroes [Speedy Mix]" is a 9-footer and "Genom Screams" is a 10-footer only in double mode.
6. My artist was named after my BPM. I have a prime symbol (') after my three digits, however. What song am I?

Answer: "PARANOiA Rebirth"

"Fascination MAXX" doesn't have any prime symbols and it's by "100-200-400" - the numbers used to reflect the BPM changes in the song. Only "PARANOiA Rebirth" has the prime symbol - the others simply have the three-digit number.

Answer: "MAX. (period)"

"MAX.(period)" does indeed feature the said 600 BPM section - the last 12 seconds of the song run at this speed. The other songs have top speeds on 1x nowhere near ("Fascination Maxx" - 400, "Healing-D-Vision" - 360, "Dance Dance Revolution" - 150).
8. I am a licensed track released on "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme"'s home version. I feature LOTS of freeze arrows on Heavy, as well as 12th notes! What song am I?

Answer: "Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist)"

"The Shining Polaris" actually features more freezes than "Somnambulist", BUT it was released on "Dance Dance Revolution Max 1"'s home version, not "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme". "Dance, Dance" was released on "Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA"'s home version and "Believe" does not feature many freezes, especially when compared to "Somnambulist".

The song is actually a cut version of Brian Transeau [BT]'s original release. It has 62 freeze arrows. ("The Shining Polaris" has 84 freeze arrows but it is not on "DDR Extreme"'s home version.)
9. I am another licensed track on "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme" for US PS2. I actually feature occasional sets of 2 consecutive 8th notes on LIGHT singles. What song am I?

Answer: "Y.M.C.A."

The song indeed features several (6, actually) such sets that follow the lyrics even on Light. The other songs feature only full-steps on their Light difficulties.
10. I am named for the initial of the composer of my melody. On challenge, I feature 16th drills at 150 BPM. What song am I?

Answer: "V"

"V" actually stands for Vivaldi - the song is a classical remix of "Winter" from "The Four Seasons". "A" has been suggested as standing for the "Ace" (playing card), inferring from the song's video in "Beatmania IIDX". Songs entitled "R" and "U" do not exist in the "Dance Dance Revolution" series... well, yet at least.
