Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the original title of "After The Game?"

Answer: After The Game of Love

"After The Game" was not always an instrumental. Its lyrics were removed because they were much too...let's say, inappropriate for children. "After the Game of Love" was about the time after the "Game of Love" if you get my drift.
2. Which of these songs was not written by DJ TAKA?

Answer: patsenner

DJ TAKA's music is used in most, if not all, of the "Dance Dance Revolution" mixes. Sometimes he just goes by TAKA. Some of his other music used in Dance Dance Revolution includes "V (for EXTREME)", "Colors (for Extreme)", "Abyss", "Logical Dash", and "Kakumei" (co-written with Naoki Maeda).
3. "ORION.78 (Civilization Mix)" was used in "Dance Dance Revolution Max". What is the incarnation of this song that was used in "Konamix"?

Answer: ORION.78 (AMeuro-MIX)

"ORION.78 (AMeuro-MIX)" is an entirely Japanese song. The beat on this song makes it one of the toughest on maniac of the entire game.
4. How many beats per minute does the infamous song "Drop Out" have?

Answer: 260

NW260 wrote this song, so it would make sense that the BPM is 260. It does feel like too darn many. Max 300 (not on "Konamix") has 300 BPM.
5. "End of the Century" is based on a classical piece. What is its name?

Answer: Beethoven's "Symphony Number Nine"

"End of the Century" is composed by No. 9, hence "Beethoven's Symphony No. 9." "Fur Elise" was also remade for "Dance Dance Revolution" in a song called "Speed Over Beethoven." 21 Girls and Billy Kanitz is my band.
6. Which of these songs is not rated 9 feet (the highest step difficulty on "Konamix") on maniac?

Answer: Drop Out

"Drop Out" is also the fastest song on "Konamix." It's speed was later topped with "Max 300", "Max Unlimited", "The Legend of Max", and more.
7. Which song was not written by Naoki Maeda (or one of his many aliases)? Hint: Most of his aliases are listed in that little booklet that came with "Konamix."

Answer: DIVE

Be For U (Who did "DIVE")is also the group that did "BREAKDOWN!" on "Dance Dance Revolution MAX 2." This song was later remixed into "Dive: More Deep & Deeper Style"
8. "When we step on the scene we came to get down Check the moves you know they can't be dissed. . ." Which song on "Konamix" contains these Lyrics?

Answer: B4U

B4U was one of the songs on "Konamix" that has very few 1/8 beats. This is why it's a good song for an intermediate "Dance Dance Revolution" player.
9. What year was "Konamix" released in America?

Answer: 2002

This was the 2nd "Dance Dance Revolution" home version released in America. The first was "Dance Dance Revolution."
10. Which one of these songs features the lyrics: "Picture me, I'm on top of my world now?"

Answer: Hysteria

"Hysteria" is a song that is quite popular (this is a fact!). "Hysteria" was remade for "Dance Dance Revolution Max 2" as "Hysteria 2001."
