Argentina's national anthem is titled "Himno Nacional Argentino". Lyrics were written by Vincente López y Planes in 1813, music by José Blas Parera. The capital of Argentina is Buenos Aires. It is located in the south of South America, and is bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil to the northeast, Chile to the west, and Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Approximately 93% of the population is Roman Catholic, 2% Protestant and another 2% Jewish.

The capital of Papua New Guinea is Port Moresby. Its main exports include cocoa, coffee, gold, palm oil and timber. Papua New Guinea gained full independance from Australia on September 16, 1975. The national anthem was written by Thomas Shacklady and was adopted in 1975.

Australia is the smallest continent in the world. It has four major deserts: the Gibson, Great Sandy, Great Victoria and Simpson, and also contains the huge monolith Uluru (also known as Ayer's Rock) which stands over 335 metres tall (1,100 feet). Australia enjoys great cultural diversity with approximately 22% of the population having been born abroad.

The native Aborigines account for about 1.5% of the population, while Asians account for about 1.3%. The capital of Australia is Canberra. "Advance, Australia Fair" was composed by Glasgow born Peter Dodds McCormick, and finally became Australia's national anthem on 19th April, 1984. Before that, "God Save the Queen" was used, as Australia was then, and still is, under the rule of the British Monarchy.

Words and music by Zubir Said, this anthem was adopted in 1959. Singapore can be found just south of the Malay Peninsula in South East Asia. Chinese account for about 78% of the population, Malays about 14% and Indians 7%. Their official languages are English, Chinese, Tamil and Malay, and their major exports are rubber, machinery, petroleum products and electric and electronic equipment.

The words of this anthem come from the poetry collection known as "Kokinshu", dating from around the 9th century. The music was written by Hiromori Hayashi was adopted in 1893. The title is "Kimigayo" which means "The Reign of Our Emporer". Japan consists of four major islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku, and also many smaller islands. Major exports include electric and electronic equipment, automobiles, iron, steel and textiles.

New Zealand is known as "The Land of the Long White Cloud" and its capital is Wellington. New Zealand's major exports include dairy products, fruit and vegetables, wool and timber products. It consists of two major islands, the North and South Islands, as well as numerous smaller islands. The North and South Islands are separated by the Cook Strait.

The official religion of Bangladesh is Islam, and it is the second largest Islamic state in the world (after Indonesia). Bangladesh's major exports include leather and tea. The capital of Bangladesh is Dacca (Dhaka).

Whites of European origin make up approximately 76% of the population, African Americans about 12%, Hispanics 9%, Asians and Pacific Islanders 3% and American Indians, Eskimos and Aleuts 0.7% combined.
