Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is the main location for the US Air Force's Basic Military Training?

Answer: Lackland Air Force Base

This base has the biggest hospital in the entire Air Force.
2. Who are the people that prepare you for the operational Air Force?

Answer: Training Instructors

I had two male TIs. This is important because men can't be present in female dorms before or after hours.
3. The first week you're at Basic Military Training you have to wear your boots with your uniform.

Answer: False

They make you wear sneakers. BDUs (battle dress uniform) with government issued tennis shoes definitely is not fashionable.
4. What is the area at the end of the food line in the chow hall called?

Answer: snake pit

This area seats about to 10-12 TIs. They try to find something wrong so they can yell at you.
5. Which detail involves working in the chow hall?

Answer: kp

KP duty is the best because you can eat all day. During a normal day you have limited time (about 5 min) to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
6. What is the name of the hospital?

Answer: Wilford Hall

It is nickname "Big Willie" because it's the biggest in the air force.
7. When do you get your blues and/or nametags?

Answer: third week

This is a great day of alterations and minimal stress.
8. Warrior week includes all of the following, except?

Answer: EOC

Confidence course is fun. There are water obstacles, monkey bars, walls and more. Self Aid Buddy Care is learning how to do first aid in the field. Catomb is where you learn to shoot M16's. An EOC is the end of course test that you take during 4th week.
9. What building is used for sick, injured, AWOL, or mentally challenged trainees?

Answer: 319

The 319th has carpeted floors, black windows (for sleeping during the day) and much better showers than standard squadrons.
10. What happens when you get plus points for marching down the bomb run?

Answer: brass ring

The brass ring is an item that does not get awarded that often. My squadron didn't get it either. We got -1 at graduation.
