S.P.O.R.T.S., is the corrective action you take in the event of a misfire when firing your weapon:
S-Slap the cartridge magazine
P-Pull on the charging handle
O-Observe the chamber for misfed rounds
R-Release the charging handle
T-Tap the foward assist
S-Shoot, or squeeze the trigger
2. When does a soldier immediately attend A.I.T.?

Answer: After a soldier graduates from Basic Combat Training.

A.I.T. or Advanced Individual Training is attended immediately after graduating B.C.T. It is here where a young soldier is trained on his M.O.S. (Ed: BCT is Basic Combat Training, and MOS is Military Occupational Specialty)
3. What school must a new Staff Sergeant anticipate attending in order to achieve his/her next rank?

Answer: A.N.C.O.C.

A.N.C.O.C. is the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer's Course, and is required for promotion from Staff Sergeant to Sergeant First Class.

B.N.C.O.C. is the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course. It is here where an N.C.O. is taught the virtues of leadership and training, and leads to promotion to Staff Sergeant. (Ed: The other choices were: WLC = Warrior Leader's Course; BCT = Basic Combat Training)

Answer: Taking a physical fitness test

The A.P.F.T., or Army Physical Fitness Test, is usually given every six months to a soldier. It tests your strength and endurance with 3 events, the push-up, sit-up, and the 2-mile run.
5. In regard to a male soldier's Class A uniform, what would best describe the place to put his name tag?

Answer: Above the button of the right pocket

The exact spot to put the tag is centered on the pocket. 1/8 of an inch above the button and 1/8 of an inch below the top of the right pocket.

Answer: Eating

The DFAC or Dining Facility is where a soldier goes to eat.

At a range you are given 40 targets to fire at, with distances ranging from 50 to 300 meters. If you hit 23-28 targets you are a marksman, 29-35 you are a sharpshooter, 36-40 qualifies you as an expert. (Ed: BRM is Basic Rifle Marksmanship.)

Answer: A brigade

A brigade will usually consist of 2 or 3 batallions. A battalion usually consists of 6 or 7 baterries or companies.
