They are also believed to be responsible for the assassination of the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.

6. Which is the 'newest' or the youngest American intelligence agency?

Answer: Defense Intelligence Agency

The Defense Intelligence Agency is the newest major member of the U.S. intelligence community. It was established in 1961 as a culmination of the increasing centralization in the Department of Defense, which began with the unification measures of 1947.

The DIA was set up by the secretary of defense to improve the intelligence product available to him and to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Another purpose was to eliminate costly duplication and a tendency of the separate armed services to use their own intelligence data as ammunition in the annual competition for budget allocations.
7. Mata Hari, the legendary spy of WWI, was executed for spying for:

Answer: Germany

8. Who was the Greek spy dressed as a deserter, who convinced the Trojans(During the fall of Troy) that the wooden horse was an offering to Athena to replace the Palladium?

9. Name the German intelligence agency responsible for overseas intelligence and counter intelligence during WW II:

Interestingly, unknown to the Germans, most Abwehr in the United States were caught even before the war began and were forced to work as double agents for the allies.
10. Name Saddam Hussein's (Iraqi) intelligence agency responsible for foreign intelligence.

Answer: Al Mukharabat

Shortly after the Ba'ath party seized control of Iraq in July 1968, dictator Saddam Hussein created the Al Mukharabat, which became not only that country's secret service but an all-powerful organization that controlled every facet of military, political and economic life. Al Mukharabat, which was also known as 'The Listening Post' and was euphemistically called the 'Public Relations Bureau,' conducted all intelligence-gathering operations, as well as terrorism inside Iraq and throughout the world.

The Fedayeen, with a total strength reportedly between 30,000 and 40,000 troops, were composed of young soldiers recruited from regions loyal to Saddam. The unit reported directly to the Presidential Palace, rather than through the army command, and was responsible for patrol and anti-smuggling duties. Though at times improperly termed an 'elite' unit, the Fedayeen were a politically reliable force that could be counted on to support Saddam against domestic opponents. Amal militia are a Lebanese faction who were major players in the Lebanese Civil War in the 1980s.
