Answer: Spring Festival

The Qixi Festival relates the legend of a cow herder and a weaving maid, who were only allowed to be together on this night each year. 7. The Dragon Boat Festival, or Duanwu Festival, occurs on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month. Which of the following would NOT be an activity in which Chinese people partake on this day?

Answer: Listening to Chinese pop music

This holiday occurs around the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The increased sunlight means that it is the highest point of Yang for the year, the masculine energy. Answer: 11/11

November 11th, Singles Day due to all the ones in the date, got started as more of an online gag than a traditional holiday. It is now akin to Black Friday in the West, and most online retailers like Alibaba and Taobao have huge sales. People generally wait up until midnight and try to get their order in online before the products sell out, as most things are more than half off.
10. The winter solstice, or dongzhi, is celebrated by eating this Chinese food, well loved by everyone world wide.

Answer: Dumplings

The winter solstice is a very feminine day, as it is the day with the most moonlight, a representative of the feminine Yin. Dumplings also are traditionally in the shape of traditional money, and so also bring some good fortune for the coming longer days.
