1. Which of the following is a common way to greet people in Chinese?

Answer: Ni Hao ma?

'Ni hao ma?' means 'How are you?' roughly....you ought not use the other three choices.
2. How do people usually answer the phone in Chinese?

Answer: Wei

This is pronounced 'way'. When you are in China and Taiwan, you'll hear it constantly as people walk by you with cell phones!
3. How do you say 'thank you' in Chinese?

Answer: Xie xie

'Xie xie' is pronounced approximately 'shay shay'.
4. Which of the following words has not been transliterated into Chinese?

Answer: Basketball 'Ba Si Ke Bo'

Basketball is actually 'lan qiu' in Chinese. Though it's not a transliteration, the two characters together do mean 'basket' and 'ball'.
5. If you want to show special affection toward another person, how would you express this feeling?

Answer: Wo ai ni.

'Wo ai ni' translates as, 'I love you'. The other 3 phrases, well, let's just say...you won't be getting any kisses following their utterance.
6. If you want to eat at a restaurant, be sure to go to which of these places?

Answer: Fan Guan

A 'fan guan' is a restaurant....they don't serve food at a trash can ('le se tong'), an office ('ban gong shi') or a library ('tu shu guan')...at least not regularly!
