The North Yungas Road is in Bolivia and connects La Paz and Coroicois. The "Death Road" nickname was given because it can be dangerous to drive along - parts of it have no railings on one side and sometimes visibility is very low due to the climate. This road has been featured on TV shows such as 'Top Gear' and 'IRT: Deadliest Roads'.

It connects Sospel and La Bollène-Vésubie, and reaches an altitude of almost 1,500 metres. It is also one of the parts of the Monte Carlo rally. The view from the col is brilliant and there are a lot of sights to enjoy along the way.

The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road is located in the United Arab Emirates, next to Al Ain, in the capital, Abu Dhabi. The mountain that it is on borders Oman. The view from the road is excellent and it ends in a parking lot at the top of the mountain where tourists and other drivers can picnic or just enjoy a breath of fresh air. There is park called Green Mubazarrah at the bottom of the mountain, where hot springs can be enjoyed too.

It truly is an awesome road and a very relaxing experience. I have been there. It is beautiful!

The Transfăgărășan is a road in Romania and is one of the highest roads in that country. It is known for its twists and turns and the drive is just amazing. It reaches an altitude of over 2000 metres, and passes next to Transylvania and Bâlea Lake.

There is a tunnel called Bâlea Tunnel that is one of the longest there. Vlad III, "The Impaler", lived at one of the castles that lies along the way of this road. The road is open only during a few months of the year.

The Great Ocean road is located in Australia and runs for almost 250 kilometres between two cities in Victoria, Torquay and Warrnambool. It was completed in 1932 and excellent views of the Bass Strait and the Antarctic Ocean can be enjoyed along it, as well as many rock formations with names such as the "Twelve Apostles" and the "Grotto".

The Chapman's Peak Drive is a road on the mountain of the same name in South Africa and lies to the south of Cape Town, running between Hout Bay and Noordhoek. There are a lot of events that take place on this road like the Cape Argus Cycle Race. It is a pretty dangerous road and has been closed down in the past due to problems with the terrain.

The Atlantic Road is in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. It connects the parts of an archipelago and is almost 9 kilometers long, including a large number of bridges such as the Storseisundet Bridge. It must be spectacular to take a drive on this road from Averøy to Eide.

The Leh-Manali Highway is one of the most famous roads in India. It runs between Leh, in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, and Manali, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a national highway and is maintained by the central government of India.

It is almost 500 kilometres long and reaches an altitude of over 4000 metres. The Rohtang Pass and the Tanglang La pass can be enjoyed along the way. There are many hotels and guest houses available at different stops on this route.

The U.S. Route 550 is a road that runs from Bernalillo in New Mexico to Montrose in Colorado in the United States. A part of the road which runs from Silverton to Ouray in Colorado is called the 'Million Dollar Highway'. It passes through the Uncompahgre Gorge. You can also witness what remains of the Idarado Mine along the road. The road remains closed during times of snowfall.

The Dadès Gorges is seen next to the Dadès river. It is a gorge that has been paved with a road that is filled with twists and turns. It is a thrilling road to drive on and can be quite dangerous. It is between the Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountain ranges. A breath taking view of natural beauty can be enjoyed driving along this road!
