Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What delivery company used the slogan "When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight"?

Answer: FedEx

The name is short for "Federal Express". Good ol' John Moschitta starred in an ad showing his fast-paced talking in a fast-paced world where time is an important asset.
2. During the 1980s, what company, well known for its fast food restaurant chain, used the slogan "Choose fresh. Choose _____"?

Answer: Wendy's

This slogan was used alongside the famous "Where's the Beef?". Wendy's claimed that each of their burgers was put together fresh, rather than pre-made and waiting in a rack.
3. What beverage product used the slogan "I could've had a ______"?

Answer: V-8

V-8 used to be called "Vegemin-8". The product is mostly made up of tomato juice.
4. What US cereal product used the slogan "Indubitably delicious"?

Answer: Crispy Critters

Indubitably (adv.) Unquestionable. Their mascot during the 1980s was a puppet named "Crispy" that sang and spoke with a rather hoarse voice. Ah-cha-cha-cha.
5. What brand of soap used the slogan "99 44/100% Pure. It Floats!"?

Answer: Ivory

Ivory was previously known as "White Soap". The other 56/100% are presumably the ingredients that were not in the category of pure soap.
6. What variety of Cheerios used the slogan "Listen to the sounds of a whole other O"?

Answer: Apple Cinnamon Cheerios

The "Apple Cinnamon" variety was the fourth product in the Cheerios line, and was introduced in 1989. In the 90s, they noted on the box that it was "made with real apples".
7. What company used the slogan "Celebrate the moments of your life"?

Answer: General Foods International Coffees

It is now rebranded as "Maxwell House International Cafés". However, the "General Foods International" (they removed the "coffee" to accommodate the non-coffee beverages) line still exists. The slogan is not to be confused with Kodak's "Share the moments of your life".
8. What brand of confectionery used the slogan "The taste of paradise"?

Answer: Bounty Bar

Bounty is similar to Mounds, but is made with milk rather than dark chocolate. Plus, the "arrows" on the bar are more prominent in Bounty than Mounds.
9. What company, well known for its baked goods, used the slogan "You can't get better unless you bake"?

Answer: Entenmann's Baked Goods

Apparently, Frank Sinatra used to buy coffee cake from their Bay Shore bakery.
10. What US-based automobile company used the slogan "Best of all, it's a _______"?

Answer: Cadillac

Preceding another slogan featuring their namesake, "Cadillac Style".
