The ship's size was impressive to me when I first entered. The Epic sails from Miami, Florida and visits Phillipsburg, St. Maarten, St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, and Nassau in the Bahamas.

The Epic Theater is able to accommodate 681 guests, seated. Unfortunately, guests who aren't on time will not be permitted the entrance to the show!

I was there for both the "Blue Man Group" and "Legends In Concert" shows. You can also go to the theater to meet the "men behind the blue". When I was on the ship, "Legends In Concert" featured Whoopi Goldberg, Jimmy Buffet and Donna Summer.

The Epic Plunge and the whole water complex, which you can find at Deck 15, are revolutionary, as Norwegian Cruise Line claims it is the biggest one at sea. I like the green slide better than the Epic Plunge! Maybe I'm a little weird...

For a nominal fee, you can have "Breakfast with Nickelodeon", a program designed to let you hang out with Nick characters such as SpongeBob, Patrick, Dora the Explorer, and many more! These characters are all around the ship at times, so there is a good chance you will see them at some point.

The Headliners Comedy Club is used for The Second City shows, some gatherings, and of course, BINGO! The Headliners is rather small, compared to other areas of the ship, but it serves its purpose. The ship also has "Fat Cats", a jazz & blues club, and the "Spiegel Tent", where the "Cirque Dreams And Dinner" show is performed.

Yes it does! I got a haircut there; it's not bad at all, so if you're on the ship and you forgot to cut your hair before your trip, this is your chance!

Among other facilities, the ship also has "Tradwinds", which are tax and duty free shops, and a video arcade.

Besides the fitness center, the ship also has the Mandara Spa & Salon, the Epic Casino (which is huge), a lounge for teens, an adult-only zone that has a pool and a bar, and more than 10 dining options of foods from all over the World, including Brazilian and Japanese cuisine. I didn't eat in those, as the costs of the buffet and the Taste restaurant are already included in the cruise price, but you always have the chance to pay an extra fee to eat in other places!

The Norwegian Epic was built in St. Nazaire, France in the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, property of the STX Corporation. Although the headquarters of Norwegian Cruise Line are in the United States, the captain of the ship and other members from the commanding crew are in fact Norwegian.

Norwegian Cruise Line provides "freestyle cruising", which means, among other things, that you can dine at the time you want (without specific dinner times like in other cruise lines), and that some of the ship's amenities are open even when docked, unlike some other companies.
