1. If you were travelling on the Bakerloo Line, from Maida Vale to Lambeth North, in which city would you be?

Answer: London

The Bakerloo Line opened in 1906 as the Baker Street and Waterloo Railway, and is coloured brown on a London tube map. If you were travelling to Lambeth North as a tourist, your most likely destination would be the nearby Imperial War Museum.
2. In which city could you take a Red Line train from Civic Center to Universal City?

Answer: Los Angeles

The L.A. Metro Red Line was opened in various segments between 1993 and 2000. Universal City, in the San Fernando Valley, is the home of Universal Studios.
3. If you took a trip on the U2 line from Central Station to Innsbrucker Ring, in which city would you be travelling?

Answer: Munich

Coloured red on the map, the U2 line was originally called the U8. Like most lines on the Munich U-Bahn, the U2 line runs completely underground.
4. A trip on the Bloor-Danforth Line between Royal York and St George would mean you were visiting which city?

Answer: Toronto

Opened in 1966, the Bloor-Danforth Line, which is coloured green on Toronto subway maps, originally ran between Bloor street and Danforth Avenue. St George station, located close to the University of Toronto, is the second busiest station on the system.
5. In which city could you take a trip on Metro Line 1, from La Defense to Franklin D. Roosevelt?

Answer: Paris

Opened in 1900, the yellow-coloured 1 line was the first line constructed on the Paris Metro. The Roosevelt station was originally called Marbeuf-Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées,before being renamed in honour of the former US President in 1946.
6. In which city would you be if you travelled on Line 2 between Sadat and Mubarak?

Answer: Cairo

The yellow-coloured Line 2, construction of which began in 1996, extends from Shoubra to Giza. Both Sadat and Mubarak stations are named after former Egyptian Presidents.
7. Where could you ride the Brighton Line between Atlantic Avenue and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue?

Answer: New York

The Brighton Line serves Brooklyn, with B and Q trains both using the line. The Astroland Amusement Park is a likely destination for those tourists travelling to Coney Island.
8. A trip on the Linha Azul (Blue Line) between Amadora Este and Jardim Zoologico would mean you were in which city?

Answer: Lisbon

The Linha Azul opened in 1959, and is the longest line on the Lisbon Metro. Jardim Zoologico station was originally called Sete Rios.
9. In which city could you travel on Line 1A from Heysel to Schuman?

Answer: Brussels

Brussels Metro began operating in 1976. Most stations have 2 names, in French and Dutch, to reflect Belgium's bilinguality. Heysel is also known as Heizel, whilst Schuman is spelt the same in both versions. Line 1A is coloured yellow on the Metro map.
10. Where could you travel on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line from Aeroport to Dinamo?

Answer: Moscow

Coloured green, and also known as the 2 Line, the Zamoskvoretskaya Line opened in 1938. Dinamo Station is named after the nearby Dinamo Stadium.
