Answer: Up in the sky! Look! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman!
The very first broadcast had an amusing variation. Instead of "It's a bird!" the announcer said "It's a big bird!" Shades of "Sesame Street"! The phrasing beginning "Look! Up in the sky! was used in the television program in conjunction with "Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!" which began the show.
The television introduction was introduced in the 1940 Superman cartoons and was adopted eventually by the radio program several years before the debut of the television program. No verbal introduction as used in the two Columbia live action serials (which were, in fact, not entirely live action because in the first serial Superman's flight was drawn).

Answer: Richardson's Roundup
This all began because of the mnemonic for this phone-in show's number, 1-888-SAD-GOAT. It evolved into some monumental silliness, such as the Latin motto "Vox Populi Vox Caprae" (the voice of the people is the voice of the goat), and a tartan made of "goatlike" colours, such as black (for black humour) and white (for yogurt, hence "culture"). This was definitely one of my favorite radio shows, always interesting.
