Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dwayne Johnson

Known simply as 'The Rock' after his years in the ring working under the WWE, Dwayne Johnson took on the full moniker of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in most subsequent appearances as he transitioned into a successful film career, appearing first in high profile roles in "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King", and transitioning into blockbuster action and family movies including a key spot on the cast of the "Fast and the Furious" franchise.

Besides this, 'The Rock' has gone multi-platinum as a recording artist (for his track on the "Moana" soundtrack) and been declared the Sexiest Man Alive by "People" magazine (in 2016).
2. Frank Sinatra

Known to many as Ol' Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra was known for numerous musical hits in the mid-20th century, being amongst the most famous in jazz and crooning for his generation. His successes weren't limited to music, however; he made it big in film, even winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the 1953 film "From Here to Eternity".

It wasn't all easy though-- the 'Chairman of the Board', as he was also known, married four times and is said to have had ties with the mob. Nonetheless, his fame and fortune led him to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1985.

He passed away in 1998.
3. Michael Lee Aday

Best-known by the stage name 'Meat Loaf', this singer-songwriter was known for his theatrical rock albums (including "Bat Out of Hell") and his periodic forays into acting, notably appearing in "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Fight Club", amongst other films.

A Grammy winner for the power ballad "I'd Do Anything for Love", released in 1993, he actually started his career with sprawling tracks like "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". Meat Loaf passed away in 2022 due to what was speculated to be illness brought on by COVID-19 complications.
4. Caryn Johnson

Caryn Elaine Johnson took on the nickname 'Whoopi' (and, eventually, the full moniker of Whoopi Goldberg) when she started performing comedy onstage, and yes, it was because of the Whoopee Cushion. Starting her career performing stand-up, her act took her to Broadway before she continued to leverage her talents in both film and TV.

In addition to receiving the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2001, she became an EGOT recipient in the next year, capping off her Grammy in comedy, her Oscar in "Ghost", and her Tony and Emmy in 2002 for "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "The View", respectively.
5. Mark Sinclair

Starting his acting career in the late 1990s, Mark Sinclair took on the stage name Vin Diesel after having used it in his earlier career as a nightclub bouncer in New York City. He carried this over into numerous leading roles, gaining traction in action films and leading the charge first as Riddick in "Pitch Black" and then as Dom Toretto in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, the latter of which would lead him to become one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood.
6. Howard O'Brien

Born Howard Allen Frances O'Brien, you might know her as Anne Rice, the famous author of vampire fiction who started her career in the genre with "Interview with the Vampire" and proceeded to elaborate on the series for decades. Notably, while writing horror and erotic fiction for much of her career, Rice had a much-publicized turn towards her Catholic faith, especially later in her life, during which she planned a four-book series about the life of Jesus Christ.

She only finished two of them before returning to vampire literature and passing away in 2021.
7. Alecia Beth Moore

Although known to her fans as 'Pink' (or 'P!nk'), this pop singer was born Alecia Beth Moore in 1979. Kicking off her solo career in 2000, she didn't actually strike fame until her second album the following year, which saw the release of "Get the Party Started". Since then, Pink has received several Grammy Awards, appeared in a handful of feature films (usually in cameo roles), and gone on numerous stadium tours, many of which feature aerialist stunts performed, live, while she sings her powerful vocals.
8. David Robert Jones

Taking the name 'Bowie' from the inventor of the Bowie knife himself, David Robert Jones started actively pursuing music in the 1960s and grew to become one of the most influential and experimental rock musicians for a generation, leaving a legacy of classics.

In addition to award-winning albums like "The Man Who Sold the World", "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars", and "Young Americans", Bowie dabbled in acting, especially in eccentric roles, in films such as "Labyrinth", "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me", and "The Prestige".
9. Alicia Cook

Known best for her R&B and pop albums, Alicia Keys debuted with the 2001 album "Songs in A Minor", featuring her emotional, Grammy Award-winning single "Fallin'". Since then, Keys continued a lucrative career in media, persisting with several platinum hits (including "No One", "Girl on Fire", and the James Bond theme, "Another Way to Die"), famous collaborations (like "Empire State of Mind"), and a handful of film roles. Keys also appeared as a judge on the U.S. version of "The Voice", appearing in three seasons from 2016 to 2018, winning one.
10. Gordon Sumner

Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner was, famously, the lead singer of The Police from their inception in the late-1970s through to the mid-1980s when they broke up. Nonetheless, and with those hits behind him, he proceeded into solo work under the name Sting as well, becoming a multi-platinum artist in his own right.

In addition to his success in music, Sting acted in both formal film roles from the 1970s onward and appeared as himself in numerous movies and TV shows, including "Zoolander 2" and the first season of "Only Murders in the Building".
