Greg Grunberg played Sean Blumberg on 61 episodes of "Felicity," which was Abrams' first television show. He then played CIA agent Eric Weiss on 68 episodes of "Alias." While he was starring on "Alias," Grunberg played the pilot of downed Oceanic flight 815 for the first two episodes of "Lost." Grunberg and Abrams have known each other since kindergarten. Clearly, it pays to be Abrams' good friend!

Jennifer Garner snagged the lead role of CIA agent Sydney Bristow in "Alias." Although she appeared in only 3 episodes of "Felicity," she must have made a big impression on Abrams because she starred as Sydney on "Alias" for an impressive 105 episodes.

Weisman played Earl in two episodes of "Felicity." Earl was the strange leather jacket wearing leader of the motley group that Meghan hung out with virtually every night during the first few seasons of "Felicity." You only see him in two episodes but Meghan refers to him several times. Weisman appeared as Marshall on 105 episodes of "Alias."

Amanda Foreman's performance as Meghan Rotundi on 61 episodes of "Felicity" was truly unforgettable. She later appeared in "Alias" for 8 episodes as Marshall's wife and the mother of his child, known affectionately as Mini-Mitch. Although Carrier is much softer than Meghan, both characters are very sarcastic to their husbands and refuse to give in to traditional notions of how a woman is supposed to act.

"Lost" has been on the air since 2004, and it is estimated that Terry O'Quinn will appear in at least 115 episodes of the show.

Robert Patrick Benedict's stint on "Felicity" lasted for a respectable 36 episodes, but fans of the show wished they could see his character Richard much more often. He later appeared in 2 episodes of "Alias" as CIA agent Brodien in season 4 of the show.

Keri Russell won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Felicity Porter on Abrams' wonderful coming-of-age college drama "Felicity." She later appeared alongside Tom Cruise in "Mission Impossible III" as Ethan Hunt's protege, Lindsey Farris. In "MI 3" Russell showed that she can portray a butt-kicking secret agent as well as she can portray a naive, introverted college student.

"Fringe" is another great Abrams series. Like "Lost," "Fringe" involves supernatural phenomena and alternate realities. None of the actors or actresses that have appeared in "Alias," or "Felicity" appeared on the first season of "Fringe."
