Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. He's a magenta coloured compact loader

Answer: Benny

Benny first appears in the special "Snowed Under: The Bobblesberg Winter Games" (2004) which is the final episode of the original series. He helps out Bob and Scoop when the rest of the machines cannot make it to the site because heavy snow has blocked their path.

Benny, one of the few machines that has a human name, has a bucket at the front and a scoop at the back. He looks up to Scoop for advice and calls him the "big banana" because of his experience and the fact that he is yellow in colour. Whenever, you hear the shout "Unreal, banana peel", you know that Benny is nearby.
2. He's a green road roller

Answer: Roley

Roley, appropriately, loves rock and roll music, is one of the most cheerful machines that you'll find and often gets really excited. When he does, you will know it, because he starts rolling his eyes.

Roley became the fifth member of Bob's team of machines. He came to Bob's attention when his crew was building a road out of concrete. The problem was that the road was too bumpy. Bob and his crew tried to flatten it out with a hand roller but it was not doing a good job. Luckily, Bird saw the problem and flew off to get his friend Roley. Roley showed up shouting "You need some rock and roll". He impressed Bob and his team so much with the smooth finish that Bob asked him to join the team.
3. She's an orange cement mixer

Answer: Dizzy

Such a clever name for someone who is constantly spinning around and around. Dizzy's regularly saying things like, "I can mix it", and, when done, "Brilliant". An eager and curious machine, she is the first female in Bob's team (and the only one in the original series) and, not surprisingly, is a bit of a tomboy. That said, she is a ball of energy, reckons she knows everything and really enjoys her music. The problem with her music was that it started to disrupt the rest of the crew. Bob solved the problem by buying Dizzy a set of earphones.
4. He's a yellow backhoe loader and Bob's unofficial team leader

Answer: Scoop

Whilst the leadership aspect was not mentioned in the original series, the mantle of being in charge would be placed on Scoop whenever Bob and Wendy had to be away from the site. Not only is Scoop always ready to lend a hand, he is also brilliant when it comes to solving problems.

In many respects, he is similar in personality to Bob and is always asking, "Can we fix it?" or responding with a positive frame by saying, "No probs, Bob". Scoop became Bob's first machine when Bob became a builder. Bob was searching for a backhoe and Scoop made sure he was the one by following Bob around so that Bob did not fail to notice him.
5. He's a lime green lorry who belongs to J.J.

Answer: Skip

Skip is a friendly little lorry who belongs to the manager of the supply yard. He carries a skip bin for rubbish removal on his back, hence his name. He's a real worry wart when something goes wrong and, at times, he can be a bit of a dawdler. He has a bumper for a mouth and seems to be good friends with Lofty who, coincidently, is the only other vehicle with a bumper mouth.
6. He's a turquoise tractor that belongs to Farmer Pickles

Answer: Travis

"Travis Tractor's my name and moving loads is my game" is a phrase you will regularly hear when Travis arrives on the scene. It appears that Travis has been with Farmer Pickles since Pickles was a young man. This is revealed in the episode "When Bob Became a Builder" (a special episode released in November 2005).

Travis is smart and is generally level headed. He does, from time to time, suffer from some insecurities. He is fond of Spud and tends to keep an eye on him. He has helped Bob on occasions, such as pulling a line-marking machine to draw the white lines on the road.
7. She is a violet forklift in J.J's supply yard

Answer: Trix

Trix had the distinction of being the youngest machine in the original series, so it was little wonder that she was one of the most energetic vehicles in the show. A very friendly little operator who thinks that her work is fun and is often heard squealing "Okey-dokey J.J".

However, her energy tends to overtake her at times, and she often ends up making silly mistakes. There is also a thought that she may be Sumsy's sister as they both have the same design and have very similar personalities.
8. He is a very fast purple snowmobile

Answer: Zoomer

Zoomer first appeared in "Snowed Under: The Bobblesberg Winter Games", a 2004 special, where he helps Scoop and Benny clear snow from the paths. He is owned by Jana von Strudel, the Austrian yodeller. For a while he had a bit of rivalry with Scrambler (Bob's quad bike) but, eventually, they became good friends. Zoomer is a bit of a speed demon and loves yelling "Zoom zoom zoom" as he goes racing past.
9. He is a blue mobile crane that lacks confidence

Answer: Lofty

For a unit that is as big and powerful as Lofty, he is extremely shy, a bit timid and is quite often a nervous fellow. Despite being a crane, when he started out, he had a terrible fear of heights, an issue he has since come to terms with. He loves rabbits but is terrified of mice. That said, he has a very kind heart, is extremely friendly and was the fourth machine added to Bob's Can-Do Crew.
10. He (or she) is a red dump truck

Answer: Muck

In the original series released in the UK Muck is a male, however, there was a gender change when the show was released in the US and Muck became a female. This is interesting because Muck loves playing in the mud and detests the thought of taking a bath... that is, unless there is something important happening.

The kind-hearted Muck is the second machine that Bob added to his crew. He/she has caterpillar tracks for tyres and sports an orange blade at the front.
