Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You will find me in the chalky landscape of southern England. I am a jumble of stones that look too big for anything but a rampaging giant to lift, and there are many theories as to who built me. I am an internationally known landmark. What am I?

Answer: Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a landmark found in England, and indeed there are many theories as to who built it. Medieval writers claimed that it was either built by extinct giants, or that the famous magician Merlin decided to conjure it (though for what reason, I have no idea).

The most popular one seems to be that the Druids, ancient British Celtic priests, built Stonehenge to celebrate the seasons and/or to conduct their sacrifices and rites. The other answers: the Rocky Mountains are in the U.S. and Stonechalk is a word that exists only in my imagination.

As for the Great Wall of China, you tell me if China is in southern England.
