Ejiao is made from soaking and stewing the skin of donkeys. It has been prized in Chinese cuisine and traditional medicine. The demand in China at the start of the 21st century outstripped supply, leading to an industry in African countries preparing donkey hides for export.

Many farmers reported the theft of their working donkeys, and several countries, such as Uganda, Botswana, and Niger, banned exports of donkey products.

"Uno" is a card shedding game invented by barber Merle Robbins in 1971 to resolve an argument he had had with his son over the rules of the card game "Crazy Eights". It is played with specially printed deck of 108 cards. The aim of the game is to be the first player to score 500 points which generally takes several rounds.

It was originally produced by International Games Inc which became part of the Mattel family of companies in 1992.
