Otherwise, the lower ranked piece gets removed. If any piece other than a miner attacks a bomb, that piece gets removed. If a miner attacks a bomb, then the bomb is removed.

In case of the spy, if the spy is defending an attack, it always loses. If it is attacking, it wins if the other piece is a marshal but loses otherwise.
