Black Aes Sedai Trivia Quiz

She dropped Brys, the Prince Consort of the Queen of Kandor, and Diryk, his son, of the top of the Kandori palace. Iselle was only partway off the outcropping when Moiraine stabbed Merean but, unfortunately, Moiraine was unable to save her.

Elza, one of the sisters who swore to Rand after being captured at Dumai's Wells, released Semirhage in a manor in Arad Doman. Semirhage and Elza were both killed by Rand when he used balefire on them.

Alviarin, in her capacity as the Head of the Council of Thirteen, knows every dark sister and coordinates their movements and plots. She inherited the station from Jarna Malari after she was killed by Ishamael.

Moria tried to make a run for it when Egwene first revealed her plan to have everyone reswear the Three Oaths and then swear their allegiance to the Light. Unfortunately for her, everyone was so on edge from Sheriam's betrayal that they caught her before she had run five steps.

Answer: Galina

Galina was captured by the members of the Shaido Aiel after the Battle of Dumai's Wells. She tried to escape several times but was stopped every time. She is now a captive of the Shaido Wise Ones and is forced to obey their every demand. There is no longer any prospect of escape for her.

Sheriam was the first of the sisters in the Hall of the Tower to be discovered as a Black Ajah member after Egwene's return. Egwene had been forewarned of her allegiance by Verin's information and was prepared for her attempt to escape.

Liandrin tricked Min, Egwene, Nynaeve, and Elayne into traveling through the Ways with her to Falme where they thought they were going to help Rand. Once out of the Ways, Nynaeve and Elayne escaped while Egwene and Men were handed over to the Seanchan.

Pevara and Seaine were walked in on by Yukuri, Saerin, Talene, and Doesine just after they had tested one of the spies sent from the rebel Aes Sedai to see if she was Black Ajah. Yukiri, Saerin, and Doesine were all cleared of suspicion but Talene was found to be guilty. She was then made to rescind her oaths to the Dark One and swear to obey the other five.

Katerine was a member of the Red Ajah before she became a Black Ajah member. She replaced Silviana as the Mistress of Novices near the end of "The Gathering Storm".

Every Black sister is put into a heart when she joins the Black Ajah. They also know one other Black sister which the other members of their heart do not know. This system makes it hard for the majority of Black sisters to do much damage by betraying their fellows.

The Mistress of Novices knows all the Accepted and Novices very well and can judge whether or not they might be susceptible to Black Ajah thinking. This position has been held by three known Black Ajah members in recent years; Sheriam Bayanar, Merean Redhill, and Katerine Alruddin.

By the time that Romanda had reasoned out that Delana was a Black and had explained it to the satisfaction of the Hall, Delana and Halima (aran'gar) had escaped. She has not been seen since that time.

While Egwene was captured and forced to wear Novice white she attempted to help reconcile the Ajahs and undo all the damage that Elaida had done to the Tower. One of her major victories was when she cracked nuts for Miyasi, Ferane, and Tesan. They asked her opinion on things Elaida had done and what she would have done differently.

Jarna was responsible for the torture and murder of the Amyrlin at that time, Tamra Ospenya. She then gave the order of the Black Ajah to hunt out and kill the Dragon Reborn for which Ishamael killed her.

The two people in Talene's heart were Temaile and Galina, both of whom were out of the Tower when Talene was discovered. This made Atuan the only sister for the Black Ajah hunters to capture.

All four of these sisters were part of Liandrin's group, but only Amico and Joiya were captured by Egwene in Tel'aran'rhiod. After their capture they were questioned by Moiraine. Several days later, they were murdered by Isam in their cells.

Marillin Gemalphin is the sister who has an affinity for animals. The other sister from the Brown Ajah in Liandrin's group, Eldrith Jhondar, takes pleasure in killing the animals Marillin has healed.

She was killed in a hut along with Adeleas, Vandene's sister by one of the other Aes Sedai traveling with Elayne and Nynaeve. The culprit is later revealed to be Careane.

Careane killed Ispan Shefar and Adeleas Namelle in a hut on the way to Camelyn. It was discovered when Vandene, Sareitha, Elayne, and Careane went to arrest the Black sisters in Camelyn that she was the murderer at which point Vandene stabbed her in revenge.

She is very sadistic and enjoys torturing people for no apparent reason. After Liandrin's unsuccessful attempt to overthrow Moghedien, she was given the order to 'soften Liandrin up' for her duties in the kitchen, after which the other members of the group were quite wary of her.

After Careane was killed by Vandene, Sareitha and Vandene were killed by Asne. Elayne was kidnapped and was taken out of the city. Birgitte rescued her there and Asne was killed by one of the Windfinders during the rescue.

The four sisters were Velina Behar for the White, Duhara Basaheen for the Red, Talene Minly for the Green, and Sedore Dajenna for the Yellow. Duhara has been out of the Tower for some time, Talene escaped the Tower before the purge and the fate of the other two is undisclosed.

Birlen Pena was identified as a member of the Black Ajah in Verin's book. The locations of the other three are unknown. They received orders from Moghedien in "The Fires of Heaven" and have not been heard from since.

Nacelle is a Green who discovered a weave that senses the use of Saidin. She sided with the rebel Aes Sedai. Nesita is a Red sister, Fera is a White sister, and it is unknown which Ajah Birlen belongs to.

Answer: Verin Mathwin

Verin was approached by the Black Ajah and given the choice between joining them and death. She made the best of the situation and studied them, finding out how they worked and as many names of the members as possible. She wasn't able to tell Egwene any of this until she had exploited a loophole in her oaths to the Dark One ("not to betray the Great Lord, to keep my secrets until the hour of my death,"). Thus she was forced to poison herself.

She gave all her research to Egwene in the form of a book with a code translator before she died.
