4. What would Christmas be without Santa Claus? All of the following movies are considered to be classic Christmas films, but only one features Santa Claus as a major character. Which one is it?

Answer: Miracle On 34th Street

"Miracle On 34th Street" is a 1947 film starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, and Natalie Wood. It also stars Edmund Gwenn as Santa Claus, or Kris Kringle. In danger of being admitted to a mental hospital, he eventually persuades his skeptical co-stars that he really is Santa Claus. Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has been filmed hundreds of times, with many critics considering the 1951 version starring Alastair Sim to be the best.

The movie contains many memorable characters, but no Santa Claus. Neither do the 1945 film "Christmas In Connecticut," starring Barbara Stanwyck, or 1954's "White Christmas," with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
