"My Bloody Valentine" was a remake of the original 1981 classic. Tom Hanniger returned to his home town after being gone for several years. His father had recently passed away. Tom was in town to sign the papers to sell the family business. The Hannigers owned the mine in the town.

The mine was a major source of income for the town and its residents. Tom ran into his ex-girlfriend and her new husband, Axel. Axel was also the sheriff of the town. Shortly after Tom arrived, people started to die in the film.

It was later found out that Tom was the killer. He was traumatized from being attacked by Harry Warden when he was younger. Tom believed Harry had returned, but it was all in his head.

Dr. Green was the attending psychiatrist to Bennett. Bennett was placed in Dr. Green's care after he killed over 90 people. Bennett escaped from the institution after he killed five patients. The patients were all placed in a semi-circle and then killed. The police came to interview Dr. Green about Bennett. She described him as extremely intelligent. She seemed enamored with him as she said he should be further studied. Dr. Green was later arrested by the police for withholding information. She first told the police Bennett had no visitors, but later retracted her statement. Bennett was visited by one man, who turned out to be his younger brother.

Gail O'Grady was born in Michigan in 1963. She is the daughter of Jim and Jan O'Grady. Gail has worked in both film and television. She has starred in "Rules of Engagement" with David Spade. She has also appeared in "Hellcats", the television series.

Nick was the leader singer for the band. He had brought his band mates to a remote location to write songs. It was just supposed to be the guys, but their girlfriends showed up later on. One by one the band members were killed off by a person in a hat and coat. It was later revealed that Nick had a solo project being released. The producer of the record stated it was good thing he split with his band. Nick had taken them out to the woods with the intention of killing them.

I really liked this film mainly because the music in the film. The cast members all had sang solos or performed in groups. The songs were really well done and catchy. The film was written and directed by Vincent D'Onofrio.

Joel was receiving messages from strangers telling them that they were about to die. The people on the messages told Joel he had to get to a certain location or they would die. The first two people who called were killed. Joel talked to the third person and got the information in time. He met the guy at his apartment and he was still alive. The guy was handicapped and in a wheelchair. Joel left the gentleman's apartment to call the police. Once he left, the killer attacked and killed the guy. The killer threw the victim over the railing onto Joel.

This film reminded me a great deal of "Scream". The phone calls were a key plot point in this film as well as "Scream". Matthew Lillard starred in "Scream" and "Scooby Doo".

Betsy was being tormented and in some cases abused by the spirit. On several occasions, the spirit pulled Betsy from her bed and slapped her violently. The family thought it was a curse placed on them by Kate Batts. John was involved in a legal battle with Batts.

After the trial was over, Kate wished darkness on John and Betsy. It was later revealed that the spirit was actually part of Betsy's soul. The soul was her innocence. John had abused his daughter and the separated soul wanted revenge. Betsy poisoned her father when he was ill in bed.

Shelley had just gotten off the phone with her friend Leann. She was in her backyard studying. Shelley heard a noise like something had fallen into the pond in her backyard. She thought it was her cat. Shelley looked into the pond and all she saw were fish. She looked across the pond and saw her cat. A hand reached out from the pond and grabbed her. Then the hand reached out and grabbed her cat.
It was later revealed that Shelley had received a call from the victim before her.

Sarah told Elissa she couldn't say no because she was new to the job. Elissa had decided to go to a party with a boy she had met earlier. The boy tried to come on to Elissa. She told him to stop and she left. Elissa was walking home when her neighbor, Ryan, offered her a ride. Elissa did not accept the ride because she heard negative things about Ryan. It started to rain very hard so Elissa accepted the ride.

Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence starred as Sarah and Elissa Cassidy. The film was directed by Mark Tonderai. Max Thieriot starred as Ryan, the killer in the film. Ryan's younger sister, Carrie-Ann, had died when she was still a child. Ryan's parents dressed him a s a girl and told him he was now Carrie-Ann.

The film revolved around a group of friends. They were all attending a Halloween party in West Hollywood. The guys were all homosexual. The lead in the film was named Eddie. He wanted to be a police officer. He had a glass eye which made him ineligible to serve on the force. Eddie went to the party dressed as a cop. While Eddie pursued a guy he met earlier, his friends were being killed by an extremely muscular man in a devil mask. Eddie and Jake managed to evade the killer and survive his attack.

The film was released in 2004. It was written and directed by Paul Etheredge-Ouzts.

Terrance, Cynthia, and Jake were in a cabin celebrating the Christmas season. Leah, the mother of the family, had recently passed away. The family was at the cabin because Leah had booked the trip before her death. The family all became ill while at the cabin. They were going to leave, but they got snowed in during a blizzard. Terrance saw someone outside of the home on several occasions. The intruder started to harass the family throughout the film. It was later revealed that Terrance imagined the whole thing due to the delirium his fever caused him.

Eric McCormack starred as Terrance in this horror film. Eric is probably best known for playing Will in the series "Will and Grace". Conner Dwelly and Ryan Grantham starred as Cynthia and Jake Shade.

Ellison had written a true crime novel years earlier that was a major success. Since the first book, he had been trying to duplicate his success. Ellison had not had another hit since the first. He moved his family into a house that was a crime scene. The previous family had been killed by hanging. Ellison was researching the murders and the family's missing daughter. He intended to write a book about the murders. One day, Ellison went into the attic of his new home and found a box of old movies. Ellison viewed the deaths of several different families on the films. In each film, he saw a creature. The creature turned out to be a deity named Bughuul. Bughuul feeds off the souls of children. There was always one missing child from each of the murders.

"Sinister" was released in 2012 and starred Ethan Hawke as Ellison. It was co-written and directed by Scott Derrickson. I found this movie to be extremely scary. There was not a great deal of gore to the film. The film was more of a psychological thriller.
