Danny falls asleep during a literature class while watching "Hamlet" (1948), starring Sir Laurence Olivier. In his dream, he envisions a trailer for a new version of "Hamlet", starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as an action hero. The trailer begins with the coolest line: "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and Hamlet is taking out the trash."

Danny overhears Vivaldi, one of the film's villains, mentioning that something is going to happen at the funeral of a member of a rival crime syndicate named Leo "The Fart". Jack suspects that Leo has been injected with nerve gas in his stomach, designed to detonate at the funeral, allowing Vivaldi to eliminate his rivals and take over the city.
