1. The film "Animal House" (1978) was filmed at which Oregon college/university?

Answer: University of Oregon

"Animal House" was one of the original college comedies, starring the late John Belushi and Academy Award nominee Tom Hulce as members of the riotous Delta House. The University of Oregon was actually the second choice after the University of Missouri's president decided the script was too distasteful.
2. Which movie starring Jack Nicholson was filmed mainly at the Oregon State Hospital?

Answer: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) was written by Ken Kesey, an Oregon native. Jack Nicholson played the maladjusted Randall McMurphy, a criminal who pleads insanity to get into a mental institution in order to do easier time. The Oregon Coast is also featured in the movie, when McMurphy takes the other patients on a fishing trip to Depoe Bay.
3. Which book-turned-movie released in 2008, about a forbidden romance that took place in Washington state, was filmed largely in Oregon?

Answer: Twilight

The movie "Twilight", about a mortal girl who falls in love with a vampire, was set in the state of Washington, yet a majority of the movie was filmed in the cities of Portland and St. Helens, Oregon. However, there were portions filmed in Washington, and California.
4. Which classic adventure/comedy, starring Josh Brolin and Sean Astin, was set and filmed in Astoria, Oregon?

Answer: The Goonies

This 1985 classic, about a group of friends hunting for treasure in order to save their beloved neighborhood, is indeed set and filmed on Oregon's north coast. Unfortunately One Eyed Willie's treasure didn't really exist. When the pirate ship is released at the end of the movie, it passes an offshore landmark called Haystack Rock.
5. What Benicio Del Toro-Tommy Lee Jones action collaboration, set in the Pacific Northwest, featured a chase between the two through the streets of downtown Portland, Oregon?

Answer: The Hunted

Tommy Lee Jones plays an ex-military contractor who trains elite soldiers how to kill with a knife. One of his pupils, played by Benicio Del Toro, goes rogue and needs to be reined in. This 2003 movie also had scenes featuring Silver Creek Falls State Park, in Silverton, Oregon. The movie "Bandits" was also shot primarily in Oregon, but starred Billy Bob Thornton and Bruce Willis.
6. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays an undercover cop trying to track down his man in "Kindergarten Cop" (1990). To which Oregon city does Arnold go to teach kindergarten?

Answer: Astoria

Det. John Kimble (Schwarzenegger) went undercover as a kindergarten teacher to find the ex-wife of a drug dealer he was trying to put behind bars. Not only was the movie filmed primarily in Astoria, but the name is mentioned a couple times and in one scene you see the "Welcome To Astoria" sign.
7. The movie "Without Limits" (1998) featured Billy Crudup as a famous Oregon athlete. Who was this athlete?

Answer: Steve Prefontaine

10. The film "Body of Evidence" (1993), filmed in Portland, featured Willem Dafoe and what famous pop singer?
