Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
Chuck Berry's songs have been recorded by many varied artists. Even when Chuck recorded songs he did not write other artists adopted his arrangements, such as "Route 66", and "Down the Road Apiece". The Beach Boys took "Sweet Little Sixteen", and changed the lyrics, which resulted in "Surfin USA" and received a gold record for their trouble. The Beatles and the Rolling Stones recorded many of Chuck Berry's songs. The first Rolling Stones' record played in Australia, and their first charted single in the UK, was "Come On". The Beatles managed a number one in Australia with their version, released as a single, of "Rock and Roll Music", from their album "Beatles for Sale. The Beatles also took "Roll Over Beethoven" to number two in Australia, ironically kept out of the top spot by their own recording of "Can't Buy Me Love".
