5. In the song "Mister Sandman, Bring Me a Dream," what kind of skin is the Sandman asked to give to the girl the singer prays for?

Answer: peaches and cream

Pat Ballard wrote "Mister Sandman" in 1954; it was first recorded by Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra. In it, the singer asks "Make her complexion like peaches and cream; Give her two lips like roses and clover." The covers by the Chordettes (with appropriately changed pronouns) and The Four Aces climbed farther up the charts than Monroe's.
