Answer: "From Me To You" by Del Shannon

In 1963 Del Shannon listened to The Beatles rehearsing the song "From Me To You" at London's Royal Albert Hall. Two weeks later he returned home to the US and recorded it. Interestingly enough, the song was a bigger hit for Shannon than for The Beatles.

12. One of my favorite bands of the 80s was the Circle Jerks. Keith Morris, the lead singer, was once an original member of another punk outfit. Which band was it?

Answer: Black Flag

Most everyone associates Henry Rollins (deservedly so in many cases) as the only lead singer for Black Flag. It was Keith Morris, however, that Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski chose to lead their new band in 1977. It only took a couple of years for Black Flag to grow weary of Morris' substance abuse problems, and the band let him go. Later, in 1981, Black Flag met up with Rollins, after a few correspondences back and forth, and he joined up with the group. He first acted as a roadie, and then as lead singer. The rest, as they say, is history.
